I've heard it at so many funerals, close ones and recently at Kobe Bryant funeral on tv. Saddest song ever💔

"The MOST Mexican Spaniard" is what we called her. She and Juan Gabriel are my favorite musicians/singers, and this is my favorite song of all time. I still miss them after all of this time, but long live the bond between Mexico and Spain!!! Hello Jack this is an awesome song. I listen to this song like many people do in remembrance of a loved ones passing. It just so happens that today is seven years since I lost my mom. Juan Gabriel wrote this song as an homeage to his mother when she passed. They had a troubled relationship he loved her so much, but she just didn't feel that motherly love for him that a mother should. He always credited his older sister for raising him. When he was a child his mother sent him away to some type of boarding school where he spent 8 years. Rocio Durcal also lost her son in a drowning accident so she expresses her grief through this song. Jack if you haven't watched the video of Juan Gabriel singing this song you have to you don't need lyrics to feel his pain. P.S. the people out of love gave him the nickname Juanga or El Divo de Juarez. Thank you ❤

Juan Grabriel wrote that song for his mother who died and she sang it dedicated to her son who died drowned on a beach in Mexico. The Song was written by Juan Gabriel in honor of his diseased mother whom died when he was touring in Acapulco. Many think it was written for one of Rocio’s daughter who died, but that isnt true. All of her children are still alive. It’s still a beautiful song and an amazing performance tho 👏🏽

This song always produces strong emotions. So, if you felt something, which I know you did, it is very normal with this song. Very heart touching. Sad but beautiful. 😭😍

She's from Spain and JG made her lit up her career with singing his songs with Mariachi. She passed away a few years ago but her legacy will be forever remembered in the likes of the greatest singes in Mexico. Her daughter moved to Mexico some years ago but hasn't quite reached the same success although her physical likeness and voice are close to her mothers. Shaila Dúrcal even married a Mexican so I'm guessing that really made her stay easier. You might want listen to her singing too and see if it's like mom's
