For anyone needing to shred bales fast, you can use the mixer wagon to shred the bales. Just put only one type of bale (hay, straw, sileage, etc.) into the mixer and it will shred the bale into loose material. It even works to fill the straw inside the barn. Just make sure not to mix anything together in it. Empty any mix into a pile on the ground if you need to,

Only just found this layout have watched you on farm hand and Calmsden and love it. This site is where I've started and on this farm too and loving it still learning every time I play it. It's called an Elephants trunk the round silage grab.

Enjoyed this Scoft, as it gave a good insight as to what you can do if you want to design your own farm. 👌 After watching your efforts with the trailer and bale grab, I think I'll just stick to the self loading bail trailer (although it only does round bales). 😁

I've heard several vloggers say you can't put bales into the feed area. There must have been an update, because I've been dumping my bale trailer straight into the appropriate bay, and it works like a charm. Excess bales simply sit in the pile until levels drop enough and they start to get "consumed". Still can't put bales of straw inside for bedding, though.

Regarding comment @ 12:18 about silage bales, I was able to able to use silage bales, no unwrapping. I did have to place them kind of far back into area for it to accept. It worked the same for for straw bales too. Hope that helps.

Great arrangement, congrats! I can't stop my self to drive manual transmissions yet, so can't concentrate on farm arrangements yet! It will be better to disconnect the steering wheel to concentrate on the game :D I will probably copy your setup with less equipments and scaled as1/2 stg. Watching your videos are more enjoyable than farming, at least up to new version of easy control tools mod :D

there is a green bale trailer which would work perfectly for you, it has sides you can put up or down, and with the blue grabber you could neatly put 2 rows in and a row ontop like a pyramid

Pure hardship bedding cubicles with straw, safe to say someone with farming experience didnt design that😂

I was looking forward to this series as enjoyed other videos by yourself, just a little disappointed you didn't start at the beginning instead of having changed the farm itself and bought all the machines already. I will still probably watch it but might have to find another that starts at beginning as new to this.

@@Scroft hahaha it’s all a learning curve aye. I’ve not had a proper play with the landscaping tool yet but it’d be handy for an ‘auto fit property’ option where it would, in the best way it could, fit a smoothed gradient from the new level of the property to the regular map level. It would be there for anyone who wants to use the build mode but has no interest in “advanced terrain editing” to make it fit - ie being able to quickly add an accessible shed🤪

The manure spawn point needs to be the extension and NOT the silo...as far as where its listed in the build menu. Not sure what you put, but that's how to get manure.

Have you tested the effect of mineral feed on TMR? Also does the silage additive have any effect on performance?

make sure you place the manure extension and not the the other one from silo

What do you do for your in game goals when your starting farm has so much good equipment? Did you just spend the starting amount or get extra money?

I normally roleplay it in my head when it's a fully functioning farm like this one. I wanted to try out the new features for my videos. I'll work the farm and try to grow. My personal save game is a lot less advanced 😆

How did you open the shutter to fill the silos inside the bard for the feed mine don’t open.

When I placed it down it was open and only shuts for me on the hour when the robot does its thing. have you got cows in? hope you find the solution 👍
