Roblox doesn't show the fun and unique games that took years of effort, they show the games that appeal to investors and anyone under the age of 6. Most of these games are bland and have no soul put into them, along with a lot of them also involving gambling. I hope Roblox can start putting higher quality underrated games on the front page instead of making us dig for them. Supporting bigger companies is good and all but they should show some more respect to the smaller studios. Edit: I think KZread is the only thing keeping Roblox alive and letting us find these actual good games.

Roblox has a better discovery system that would include genre/tag searching on the roadmap they made, by my suggestion, which is awesome as I've been talking about it so much on the developer forum. (feature requests, discussions, messaging staff, blah blah..) BUT, they put it on hold! Roblox has the core value of 'taking the long view', so I guess cool, but 'on hold'?! I'm not the only one annoyed about it, the devforum is evident of that. The Search & Discovery team at Roblox, yes there's a whole team for that, aren't the best at taking feedback from people. Which, sucks.. obviously.

Here's what it says on the Roadmap: "Dynamic Filters - A community-requested feature that will enable users to find your experience based on genre or tag (On Hold)" From a recent podcast David Baszucki had, he shared this vision of connecting search with discovery through 'semantic searching'. It seems as though that is being deemed more important.

Those years were full of bait and switch obbies and tycoons though.

here are some actually underrated gems i have found 1. Phighting (only good fighting games with characters not based off of anime but all being original and roblox inspired) 2. Entry Point (the GOAT of heist games where you have to complete different missions. It is compared to notoriety but its' plot, mechanics, and good cutscenes differentiate it) 3. In Plain Sight 2 (really fun concept of finding criminals who are hiding amongst npcs and preventing them from getting jewelry)

Another game i like is Arcane Odyssey. (Arcane Odyssey is an adventure RPG game created by Vetex, who is most known for Arcane Adventures. In this game, you will take part in an adventure between the conflicts of kingdoms over the true forms of magic, sea curses. This game has many unique features and mechanics you can't find in other games including but not limited to spell customization, ship customization, a reason to explore, deep lore, magic interaction (each having a clash advantage/disadvantage against another), and much more. It's 13+ and the game is still in early access.

Just add a game blocking system. Just like players, when you block it, you can't communicate with it. block a group and you can't see their games. Block a game to not see it either.

I played since 2017 and played as a guest since 2016 / 2015, I miss simple roblox where you can just walk around and do random shit and eventually get someone to roleplay with you or become friends with you

I'm watching Laugh's second channel for the first time now and hearing him swear feels so weird But yeah, I have to agree. Because of this, I mainly stick to the same small group of games that are actually good and ones that I enjoy. I still have hope for Roblox because of newer and actually good games like Doors and such.

PLAY PLATES OF FATE GUYSSS its a game where everyone has their own little plate. U have to survive rounds with random events on the plate. it also gives me that 2014-2015 game vibe if ur into that, while also remaining fresh!

there was this game i use to play the hell out of called sans simulator by a creator named zeezyred. the original game got copyrighted, and then the reupload was privated a while back after i spent all my time working so hard on that. but recently, somehow one of the devs somehow unprivated the game eventhough zeezyred is banned(probably mass reported by mugen lol) and ever since i've just been... kinda lost. the admins of the game are still active, but the game is half dead. oh yeah, there's also this version that got picked up by fans called the reconstruct but nobody plays that lmao

Thank you for making this. It's clear roblox only cares about the games that make the most money despite the true potential of this platform so it's nice to have the recourses to actually find good games.

there are so many games with like 500 or less players that are no where to be found on the main site that are actually extremely fun that can be played for hours

there was one that albert uploaded one player must run around the map while leaving a trail and some obstacles, after like 15 secs, the players can catch up to the obby maker, after 30 secs, the obby maker (selected player) can't move, and other players will have to go thru the obstacles and the trail in like a minute or so, this is honestly cool and underrated

there are plenty of good and unique games like utg, phighting, nn(ish), etc. but due to roblox's mid search engine people are led to believe that roblox games are mid by default or are actively worsening over time

if you wanna try a cool game that nobody plays for some reason try crossover arena. its a pretty fun and very unique pvp game which has its own unique mechanics as well as many references to other franchises.

I made a brand new account, searched a game i made WORD-FOR-WORD and it has a _very_ unique title, and it popped up all these games clearly marketting towards kids that also likely have hundreds of gamepasses. The best part? Nothing about their title related even *SLIGHTLY* to my search!

for anyone looking around for some games to play, recently ive been liking dummies vs noobs, phighting, regretevator, rulost, running from the internet, and poser. these games are sort of well known but dont tend to have a lot of players playing them AND roblox doesn't recommend them. if you haven't check out any of these games you should go play them! theyre all pretty unique and you can have a lot of fun, especially with friends :)

Some Roblox games I've found that are fun and a little underrated (they are mostly just shooter games though): Entrenched, this one is kinda popular but basically it's a WW1 based shooter game where you can dig trenches and capture zones. D-day, this one is also kinda popular, this one is a WW2 based shooter game. You fight as either the axis, defend the beach, or the allies, and storm normandy. They might have a few more maps now though Airship Assault, you may have heard of "zeppelin wars", I haven't played it but basically Airship Assault is a sequal to that where you destroy the enemy's airship, and defend your own airship. Empire Clash, you can probably tell by now, I like history based fighting games. Basically in this one, there are a bunch of roles, and a lot of ways to make money and get food. The more money you have, the better classes you can be. There's also this whole politics thing where there are 4 empires fighting for domination over the map. Emergency Response: Liberty County, this one is another game with a lot of roles, you can be a civilian, a cop, a fire fighter, or even a criminal. Roblox Titanic, I only played this a few times but basically you play through all of the events of the titanic, from going out to sea all the way to when it sinks. Wings of Glory, this is another WW2 based game, but instead in the sky. you control a fighter plane and shoot down other planes or anti air cannons. Get Hit by a Car Simulator, this one is one of those funny games, basically its rush hour and you step into the road and get hit by a car and see how far you can get flung. Realistic Ragdoll Physics, this one is actually kinda popular, but basically you can just mess around with ragdoll physics, rocket launchers and 0 gravity, and a lot more Be Dead Forever Simulator, if you die, you die forever :) Naval Warfare, if you are looking for a shooter game but with more of a 2010 Roblox feel, you should play this game, it's got low graphics, default sound effects, everything else that makes an old Roblox game make it look old Free Admin, this one is a really stupid game in my opinion, but if you want to try out admin commands, you can do it here. Rate my Avatar, you've probably seen people play this on youtube shorts/tiktok, but have you ever played it yourself? Dig to China, another one of those old ish style games, basically you drop a bunch of bombs in a hole until you get to china Aimblox, your typical Roblox shooter game Lastly, we have Musket Testing, this game is an FFA shooter game, but with muskets

I think they should make it to where you can vertify your age and whatever age group you identify in you will get recommended games targeted to that demographic. So if your 13-15 it might recommend games like counter blox, phantom forces etc,etc. you get the point

I remember when I used place roulette in the memes section with like 7 others and we found BDFS (Be Dead Forever Simulator) and it had like nothing on it. It had a few things here and there and I guess the Dev of the game randomly join and he was shocked to see so many people in it at the time. To the point where he started doing commands and in general adding stuff to make it more fun while we were playing it. Most fun I had in a long time.

It’s not that there’s any new games, it’s just that time went on a changed it all, Roblox just feels pure nostalgia to me now

i swear just like a year or two ago you could search for a roblox game and IT WOULD ACTUALLY SHOW UP and there would actually be things related to what you searched. now you cant even search anything without a million unrelated stupid obbies/etc showing up, even if i search the exact name of games i played, they wont show up! like for example there was this one game i found a year ago by searching for kiwi, it doesnt even show up if you search its EXACT name "kiwi kiwi collecting crusade" (btw not an ad just thought it was a good example)

you could actually search by genre in the past and was a amazing way to find obscure games and how i find games is by going to a game similar to what i like going down to the recommended experiences and going down a rabbit hole finding similar things to it

You are so right about roblox being fun when you have friends. The games that don't encourage teaming up usually have the most toxic players in the community. Murder mystery needs to have a game mode that encourages teaming up but it's balanced. Like making them both in the murderer team if they are evil so they don't have to make others not have fun just because they want to have fun.

Can I recommend a game? called Abandoned Story, it is a story that takes place in a dystopian future with pretty good atmosphere and with pretty fascinating lore and characters, though it does tend to fall in with the other stories pacing wise (Yes, that means obbies I think) It certainly was a break from all the low quality story games Ive been playing. (Not to mention that the story is pretty dark)

Some really fun underrated roblox games for anyone interested: Bloxston Mystery 15 player social deduction game where the town must find and expose members of the mafia, and vote them out in a trial. Everyone has a unique role, such as the jailor who can chose to imprison other players at night, or the vigilante that can basically kill anyone he wants granted they are in the same room. Basically Town of Salem but it’s an actual game and not just point and click. Be warned, people in casual lobbies aren’t very smart. Once you get 15 wins go play ranked instead Plates of Fate Remastered This game is pretty well known, but still has small player counts for some reason. You and up to 50 other players survive waves of randomly generated events, ranging from meteors, to ufos, to an ORBITAL LASER. This game is fun but can be pretty frustrating for those who are impatient Airship Assault Team based warfare game inspired by that of Battlefield. You can fly planes, zeppelins, and much more. Combat is really fun, overall very well made game

I think this part of "Search option sucks" is just GLOBAL. Google algorithm is getting worse, like for example 3-6 years ago I could google a giant sentence in browser/ YTube/basically any site and there was a nice chance of getting suitable answer or only them. But now its the exact opposite, - put more than two words and search option will answer with a few useful links IF U ARE LUCKY, completely ignoring important words in sentence. And since most of browsers are build on Chromium... yeah.... And also, why poor Roblox company can't update PC game client to usable state? Searching on marketplace is also a huge pain AND it lacks a few options what are build in browser version, but not this one. Like? What's wrong with the devs??

finding a good game on roblox to play nowadays is a miracle. i have some tho that i absolutely love. my favorite being Fantastic Frontier, which will probably have a huge update too soon enough. it's not as underrated but there's definetly a bunch i play that are very underrated. they just have a charm usually

some smaller games could even be completely shadowbanned/hidden from roblox search list, i know someone who has all of their games hidden from search for some reason
