I think the reason the clone is more popular is because the official game is based on Secret Neighbor, that weird multiplayer hn game, whereas the clone is based off of actual Hello Neighbor

Fun fact: the game is based on the actual secret neighbor so its not a piggy clone

I think this was coming to the devs, they kinda ruined the original game and tried to make it free long after its craze.

roblox already had a lot of verticality on 2015, phantom forces was made in that year (or mostly in its early stages), and the engine gets better from there, don't call it trash, it can actually compete with proper game engine like unity.

The knockoff game is basicaly the original hello neighbor mechanics and just that map. That’s why it’s better, that guy straight up just made hello neighbor, but knockoff walmart knockoff. I think hello neighbor has been reworked like a thousand times so if you try to do research and don’t know wtf I’m talking about, that’s normal I watched a playthrough of that game like several years ago.

Yeah its the reason why its better, the old game was reworked many times unlike the other that just came out.

The game made by the official hello neighbor is not originally on roblox, and it didn’t perform that well, which is probably why the roblox version isn’t doing too well.

This reminds me that Loomian legacy gets less players than the Pokemon Brick Bronze clones (the game that got taken down by nintendo)
