I've known Roblox was a shady company since I was a 12 year old. I'm 23 now. Roblox is so scared of losing and being exposed that they backed down and settled with ruben after this video was posted. Honestly this video was great. It single-handedly made a counterthreat against roblox in which could’ve made them lose the case if it were to go to trial or even worse for them could’ve threatened the value of roblox stock once word spreads out (which could’ve made roblox lose a lot more.) I’m aware this case has already settled and ruben still has to pay a ton, but it could’ve ended a lot worse for ruben.

@@forwhat7435 That is true but that requires money and depending on the outcome of the case, Ruben would have to pay more if he loses the case. Although, the main point is that, not *everyone* can pay money to counter sue like Ruben. Like thie scenario, Roblox could go after anyone else that they hate just as much as Ruben and I don't like where this is going because it sounds to me that they're trying to threaten and silence people who speak ill of their company. You could argue that this case is more serious since it involves terrorist threats and the cancellation of Roblox's conference but I believe Ruben was not the cause of it and they're using him as kind of like a scape goat.

one thing to keep in mind about Sega, they do allow fan projects and they never DMCA them, the reason why SEO was taken down was not only because the game was making unauthorised revenue out of the sonic the hedgehog trademark, it was also because the main developer was a predator and because Roblox didn't take any notice of it, so they took it down instead.

I've always been on Ruben's side because I knew that pretty much the entirety of the lawsuit was just bullshit and that Ruben is one of the only content creators willing to openly call people out, despite the possible repercussions.

Ruben isnt the only content creator pointing it out, Greenlegocats does reports on pretty much everything new with roblox, from new updates, events, controversies, etc. He has also suffered a similar (but not as fierce) backlash from the roblox corporation, he has videos on what roblox has done to him, so go check them out.

@@thegodofthegods1084 roblox isn’t going to fix anything, the court needs to heavily fine and do a very deep federal investigation of roblox for making false accusations especially under a affidavit in a court of law which is completely illegal maybe they’ll even find more criminal activity that roblox has been most likely doing behind the scenes that no one knows about yet

My friend's 7 year old daughter plays it. I came here expecting you to be some loser trolling children, but in reality you're fighting an uphill battle against a game dev that is knowingly putting minors in danger. You have my support. The amount of bullshit that Roblox is trying to hand-feed him with the accusations that they are making is utterly disappointing. It still boggles me that Roblox is going after him for breaking ToS outside of Roblox, and how they hired someone that runs a porn blog. This is most likely one of the many examples that has yet to come, where Roblox is being a bullshit company. Roblox hires someone that follows a furry porn account on twitter and gets mad when Ruben speaks out about it. Okay, fine. They hire someone that has their own porn blog that posts nude. You're starting to cross the line. You are angry at Ruben because he broke Roblox ToS OUTSIDE of the platform. Very hypocritical on Roblox's side. Now, they don't bother to ban pedophiles from their platform, with the only example of them banning someone for pedophilia is that one star creator that they had (Could count MisterObvious but they don't deserve the credit. Besides, it only took them a couple of years to ban him).

roblox is next level bullshit, their platform has predators everywhere, scamming exists AND STILL HAPPENS TODAY BY THE WAY and they hire staff whom are interested in porn, hoping they can moderate a platform made for children to come together and have fun, while they are scamming possibly millions of dollars out of the platform's gambling and offsite shit, this isn't some platform who cares about their users, this is a company which simply existed to try and maximize profit over players.

It's absolutely disgusting how a billion dollar company which makes a monthly fortune sued a random content creator who literally introduces Roblox to other young children for them to play Roblox, only to try getting 1.6 MILLION dollars out of him, and to ignore improving their moderation or hire better employees with all that fortune. They even made up fake allegations against this random content creator, expecting Ruben to just hand them over 1.6 MILLION dollars, MILLION, as if this guy is a millionaire or something. So after reading the aftermath, this guy basically had to pay $150K and is now banished from the website. However, Roblox itself has recently been under more scrutiny for lack of accountability for allowing predators to be getting away with more harassment and manipulation. Although Ruben may be gone, this does not mean we won’t stop holding roblox accountable for their lack of security and overall protection of children on their own game. Ruben, you will not be remembered as someone who lost the case, but you will be remembered as a major figure of calling out roblox and exposing how corrupt the company really is to hundreds of thousands of people like us

I'm distraught. Having played this game for over 7+ years, I couldn't imagine how deep the rabbit hole of incompetence and glaring irresponsibility inside the Roblox corporation truly is. I've always known and heard how much lack of care there is on from ROBLOX's own part, but to see it with your own eyes really changes your perspective about it. It's seriously mouth-jarring. I've been keeping up with your content as far as 2015, having witnessed first-hand you be the only man with enough guts to take matters onto your own hands and speak out on the sheer and blatant ineptitude and crystal-clear neglicence from Roblox to act against sexual predators and punish them not only for violating the websites terms, but for commiting a FUCKING felony.
