@@cutmeloosebruce1955 I thought current Thor was being replaced by an uncharismatic female. A lot of lovable Marvel characters had a perfect match with their picks before the woke culture swerve. It's been more hit or miss lately with the larger hits being pre Infinity War established characters. The good thing is that there is still Guardians of the Galaxy 3, another Doctor Strange, and a potential return of Deadpool, but it's not looking anywhere the same as it used to. The current setup has been very mediocre compared to the previous setup. I'm hoping they keep Eternals in the closet, what a mess that was.

When Rogan said "How many gdamn Batman had it been?" Then the RDJ responded "Right, I wanna see how Pattinson does." Implying the subtext that he reminded him there's another batman in the making, then he finalized to save the topic by saying "I like that guy" to 'endorse' and support instead of what it was been said to the topic that we had too many batmans. RDJ is a born legend.

Dude remember when they announced Heath Ledger for Joker back in 2007, the internet lost their shit. “The guy from 10 Things I Hate About You can’t be joker!” That’s why I always give actors a chance. I wasn’t alive yet but I heard the same thing happened to Michael Keaton when they announced him for Tim Burtons Batman since he was known as a comedian in the 80’s he seemed an unorthodox choice. But he proved everyone wrong as well. So especially around the Batman franchise, actors can surprise us.

Knowledge? Oh yeah. Verbosity? To the nth degree. Wisdom? Not a speck. Here's the point, talking doesn't mean you're smart. It's what you do, not what you say that counts. It's a hard lesson to learn for some of us...But I'm extremely proud of this guy that I'll never know, nor want to know for turning his life around. That's inspiring. What I think Joe may have been missing is that the role of Batman, as Christian Bale once said, is a torch to be passed on from actor to actor. It's a role that's bigger than any one actor, in particular. The Marvel movies and yes DC too, definitely open my mind in new ways. I was a Soldier and married to a Soldier but these people are heroes to me, more than just actors and actresses in a movie. And I’m passionate about learning more about them. I regret being ignorant about celebrities when I was younger, now I’m passionately curious. And truly inspired.

The phrase "soup to nuts" is a slang term meaning "the entire process from the very beginning to the very end". It stems from a ten course meal, where you would start with the soup course and go all the way to having a handful of nuts as a kind of after dinner nibble with your digestif.

Hollywood and its people have a habit of being given and taking credit for things that originated in the source material. Magneto being a Holocaust survivor in the "X-Men" films was taken from the comics, too, but on the DVD commentary for that first film, Bryan Singer's pal sitting in with him on the commentary gives Singer the credit for that past. And, naturally, Singer does nothing to set the record straight.

@@solarydays It still doesn't make this an original idea by the writers. My point stands. The writers didn't invent him. They took from the comics, like many of the movies have and do. Sure they are not 100% true to the source material but they still have the source. Outside that, though I do agree that people do forget that the movies are their own thing and not a carbon copy meant to be true to the comics, as is evident by many comments on this.

I think one of the benefits of Joe having some of these big names on is injecting some long-form influence into the world. There's something to be said for long interviews in which nuance and discussion can happen in this time of limited characters, curated status updates, "two-way" conversations that are actually one, and canned pseudo-outraged soundbites.

Fun fact: When Adam West-the actor who portrayed 'Batman' in the 1966 TV series-arrived on the set, the producers once jokingly announced, "Here he is, the idol of millions!" Nobody's joking in regards to this 'Ironman!!'
