There’s no mistake in cutting him the mistake was the trade for him and compounding the mistake giving him an extension. Wilson knew he was going to be cut when the Broncos approached him to renegotiate the contract before the Broncos beat the Chiefs and Bills. That’s why he did that I Am Athlete interview and put his 🏡 up for sale because he knew.

Cmon the Bears, Jets and Washington all put 28 plus points on them. Not to mention that 70 point massacre. The fact that they benched Russ when they had a slight playoff chance because of "injury risk" was pathetic. Denver fans should be calling for a whole new front office.

That is business for you. You sign a contract and have to pay regardless of what you got.

They screwed themselves way way more than him. Getting paid $245M, mostly guaranteed is not the worst thing in the world. $85M dead cap, 2 first-round picks, 2 second-round picks 1 third-round and no wins or future growth to show for it.

Russ was asked to move his 35 million dollar guarantee by one year. He was not taking a pay change, and he expected to make 30+ million more and the cap hit another year later. He expected to get another contract, and they told him no so he said FU I am not moving the guarantee. The GM needs to be fired.

Let's compare Sean Payton to Brian Billick. Who is Sean without Drew Brees? I don't know why these guys take it easy on Sean Payton. He ran out on the Saints when they gave him everything. At least Brain stuck it out. You all will see how bad Sean will do and these guys will be easy on him.

Marlin Briscoe is one of my most favorite, unwitnessed, players of all time. Many know his story, many do not. I say this because the Broncos, Giants, and Patriots seem to currently have a theme of treating Blk QBs different. Call it what you'd like.

The bottom line issue is that too many Qb are under performing their contracts. Yeah Denver had a good d but had to get rid of good guys to pay Russ. yes the numbers are misleading to all these qbs .
