Roasted Pumpkin Seeds 🎃

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

These delicious roasted pumpkin seeds are a great way for all of us to reduce our food waste and enjoy a high protein snack. This recipe is SO easy. All you have to do is clean your seeds from the pumpkin guts, rinse until clean, dry, and then add your favorite spices. I used olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, nutritional yeast and salt. Roast for 20 minutes at 400F and ENJOY.

Toasted seeds are actually very common snacks where I live although pumpkins themselves aren’t popular in our cuisine but their seeds are! But we only eat what’s inside the seed.

Halloween pumpkins are not typically as flavorful or sweet as pie pumpkins, so you will probably need to cook down the puree a lot longer to get the extra moisture out and add extra sugar to get the same flavor in your pie

I always do this but most of them still don't get eaten because most people find them too tough and fibrous still. That is until I found the method where you blanche the seeds in boiling salted water for 5 minutes before adding the oil and seasonings and baking. They come out super tender and crispy and flavorful that way

my family always does this, but we leave a bit of the pumpkin guts on the seeds. when you remove every bit of the guts, and wash and dry them, you remove nutritional value by rubbing off protective seed layers and an interesting crunch and taste gotten by leaving a bit of the guts on the seeds. we always cook pumpkin seeds. my family has done it since, well, forever. except we just use seasoning salt and bake. its our tradition, and honestly, it is so nostalgic. its a very nice thing to look forward to. yk, gets me in that fall n’ spooky mood.

I love pumpkin seeds.. My mother used to roast it on cast iron and tbh roasting on a cast iron and a normal aluminum pan has difference.. Or u can just add lil bit oil and add salt.. I like it simple but I am sure it will taste really good with the spice blend.. Also we usually don't have that big pumpkin here (at least I haven't seen it.. Their outward appearance too is a bit different ..a bit greenish and yellowish but looks same from inside)
