This is one of my favorite YT videos I've ever seen. This lovely crispy black potatoes are a really special british success. The Yorkshire pudding is legend. The comments are epic. Poor hungry people in the neighborhood, another 30 minutes later... This is absolutly worth the gold Monty Python medal. And this is real camping cooking just with one stove, super sympha❤. We also love the versatile cadac safari chef👍🏻.

Key to Yorkshire pudding is 200 constant temp and don't mess with it.... Granted it's harder on a cadac as there's no window to check on progress without affecting temp . But it should be 20 mins minimum not 15. Fair play for attempting a full toast on a BBQ generally it looked amazing

Excellent series of videos, you've convinced us a Cadac is the way forward. One question. Why the black mat? Is it to reduce cleaning or is there a cooking-related reason?
@Tintenter

we use the black mat to reducing cleaning. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment and stay safe.

the beef juices collected in the fat pan would have made an awesome gravy - likewise with the roast chicken you did I would part boil the spuds just for a few mins first and the spuds with the chicken came out better for you

Mmmmmmmm 😋 think with batter you need to do what you would do at home and NOT open the oven once it's in, leave the lid on i know its tempting to see what's underneath 🤣 They should do a glass lid for that so u cn see whats happening underneath!

Splendid effort guys 👍Maybe with a little fine tuning it could be a success. Like if you had put the roasties on the rack when the meat came out and the yorkshires directly on the grill to get more heat into the bowls they may have risen more.

Russ Woodard definitely needs a little moving things around but will get there. I think the beef was too big to start with. Thanks for watching and your support.
