I love to see you out with your Mom! Before I got married, my Mom and I went on countless road trips. She had supported me as I worked toward a degree and a better job, and it was my pleasure to hit cool places and good restaurants without her worrying about the costs. After Dad died, she raised two boys as a single Mom, and made so many sacrifices, that I’m only realizing today.

I work nights so I watch your videos before heading off for the day. Sometimes due to the length of your vid's I put them off for the weekend. Today I see that your Mom will be in the presentation. That's it work will have to wait, if I am late so be it. Anytime your Mom or Dad are included everything comes to a halt in my world. Their genuine love for their son, honest and refreshing opinions on life and the world are timeless. Your Mom with her beautiful smile and welcoming charm fills my heart with joy and hope. I will be late for work today but I had to take the time to send off these words of admiration. We had an Esso station, just down the street from where I lived. I can remember as a kid, their motto was "Put a Tiger in your tank." They had a give away once with a fill up, you got a furry tiger tail to go on the antenna of the car. LOL, everyone on our street had a tiger tail on their car antennas! Good times, remembered.

@@brianmatthews4149 It was Esso before it was Exxon. In the US, Esso became Exxon around 1972. However, I live in Germany now, and it is still called Esso. Esso/Exxon is owned by Mobil.

That was a lovely Travelers Chapel. A very nice note by your mother Mr. Adam. So nice when you have her along. You seam more relaxed when your mom or dad are with you to share your road trips and adventures. I am with your mom in listening to Elvis, lol ! I use to pick cotton on my grandparents farm when a kid...hard work. Fascinating and interesting back road finds Mr. Adam and mom Woo. Safe travels and enjoy visiting your family.

Welcome to the Triad! The motel you passed by in Rockingham is in my hometown and my grandma lived just around the corner from there. Passed by that place 10000 times in my life! Interesting fact, the Berry patch is owned by the Berry family. The ice cream is out of this world! You should check out the Hillbilly Hideaway in Walnut Cove. You’d like the vibe of the place and the food is the best southern food around! Hope I run into you while you’re in town!

OMG! Can’t believe you visited my hometown, Bennettsville, SC! (I live in San Diego, CA now). That row of buildings you show was where my father and his partners law firm was. He then went on to be a judge (chief magistrate) at the courthouse. Wow! Good memories in this video! Thanks for this great trip down memory lane!

Ellerbe North Carolina is where Andre the Giant called home. It is said he liked the landscape because it remined him of being at his family homestead in France.

The more TDW videos I watch I realize how many of the same towns you and I have lived in. I started out being born in LA , lived there about 5 1/2 years , was a Mickey Mouse jailbird, also a Knoxberry farm rat. Then on to Anniston/Oxford Al. and the list goes on and on. A small world indeed

Good to see you took your Mom along for another one. We only pass this way once and time spent with family is time well spent! Interesting area on that S.C. and N.C. border region. I do remember the price of Esso being that cheap. But at the time it didn't seem like anything special. Glad I made it this far but not glad to see the price of gas at today's prices. That MGB in the classic car lineup looked interesting. I had a chance to drive one of those a few times. Also got to drive an MG Midget.

I just love when you have your mother on!😇She reminds me of my mother and mother in law, both passed, just good kind loving caring people, she's tearing me up!😇😇

Mama Woo is just 'peachy'! 🍑😊 Love the old back roads with places that time has forgotten. Be prepared for snow Friday night. Hope you make it over to Lexington, NC. We are serious about our BBQ. Pig statues everywhere! Lol

We went to the Carowinds amusement park about 15 years ago. It is on the border of NC and SC. They had a coaster that used to go back and forth between NS and SC numerous times and it used to tell you when you were crossing State borders. Really nice amusement park.

Good to see mom! ☺️ So Greensboro is my hometown - funny enough, I was there in 1992 in Randleman when the Richard Petty “statue” was unveiled and let’s just say there was an audible gasp regarding its scaled down size 😬 It was not expected.😆 You were right near Sir Pizza in Randleman - You need to try either some Sir Pizza or Bills pizza (in GSO) while you are there, they branched off the same owner, good stuff - unique! I was just back in GSO over the holidays - hope you find sumthin’ interesting to showcase! ☺️

My mom worked in the tobacco fields also when she was a girl on the family farm in Kentucky. That was some hard work bless you mom’s heart. Loving the road trip 👏❤️ take good care of momma !

Great video. I lived in NC for almost 20 years and loved it so much. So much to see and do from the Outer Banks to the mountains.

I was born and raised here in Eastern North Carolina. North Carolina has alot beautiful places to visit from the mountains to the coast. Alot of famous people from here. Home of Bojangles, Pepsi, Krispy Creme, Hardee's, Texas pete hot sauce and other things. North Carolina has the tallest mountain and the second tallest mountain east of the Mississippi. The deepest gorge east of mississippi and the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi. Just some fun facts about North Carolina.
