I got two of these on Amazon for using with my Rockpals and Golabs power stations. This is 100 watts: "Electric Lunch Box, 1L Travel Rice Cooker Small 12V For Car, Cooking For Soup Porridge and Rice, Cooking Heating and Keeping Warm Function(Green)"

@@DIYKAI It cooks one dry cup of rice with water added in about 35 minutes. These can be directly wired to two 100 watt panels in parallel and bypass the need for a battery. They operate on 12 to 24 volts at aprox 100 watts. I noticed that my 12 volt cigarette port needs to be 10 amps. One that has 8 amps shuts off when I plug it in.

Honestly I use it to make soup, put canned soup contents in the pans I got for mine, and just reheat foods. I have yet to cook raw meat, but other videos show pretty good results, makes life pretty easy on the road if you wanna eat healthy things like rice and oatmeal. Things of that manner

@@DIYKAI i bought mine for 30 bucks from a pilot flying j, it's lasted a couple months, if it makes it to 3 months it will have been a good investment, 3 months of not eating out saves at least 800-1,000 bucks lol

@@DIYKAI @DIY KAI it starts out as a fun project lol, you should look into Alpicool 12v plug in fridge/freezer box, you can set the temp for freezer temps or fridge temps, they have an app for your phone where you can set the temp by Bluetooth, if you ever travel a lot it would help to get one 👍🏽 saves on ice and you can remove the cord if you wanted to put ice in it when at the beach or something 😀, because no one is gonna keep going from the lawn chair near the water back to the car for refreshments every single time lol

I ordered a 18-24 volt to 12 volt 10 amp buck converter in hopes of cooking rice with the 12 volt 100 watt rice cooker using a 100 watt solar panel on a clear day and bypass the need for a battery.

@@DIYKAI I found out I don`t need it. I didn`t know these can be used from 12 to 24 volts with a direct solar panel connection. I`m moving in April and will do a lot of testing to see exactly what works and if only one 100 watt panel can be used to slow cook with one. I have a 165 watt Roadpro fryer pan that might work with a 190 watt panel I have. Hopefully it works because I can`t use it to its full potential with any of my power stations.

@@baneverything5580 Do you think I can directly connect this to 18v power tool battery?

@@cameranmanner4701 Yes, it might work depending on the amp rating of the battery and the device you intend to power. It will convert the 18 volts to 12 volts for things that need properly rated voltage like a 12 volt fan or light for example. I think to produce 100 watts you need around 9 amps at least. My power stations with 8 amp 12 volt ports won`t power my 100 watt rice cooker.
