Blue tractor fans heaven !! I remember driving a Roadless 105 for a neighbouring farmer back in the mid 80's at harvest time what a beast it was. It out pulled both an International 956 and 1055 on the hills ploughing and grain hauling with a 10 ton tandem axle Fraser trailers.The Duncan Q cab was a bit basic but the power and traction was legendary at that time.

Great video, like the Ploughmaster with the Ransomes TS84. the plough looks mint. I used to run one behind a Ford 7000 in the seventies, happy days.

I dove a 4cyl major roadless ... and a ford roadless 95.... and saw 1or 2 ford 7600 roadless tractors over the years...id love to no the story with the green major 6cyl with yellow wheels ...helo from ireland..

Hello there! The green six cylinder Ploughmaster 6/4 was first introduced in this colour scheme as Roadless thought it was an important milestone and wanted it to stand out in the fields! Ford were not so keen, probably because it looked very similar to a John Deere tractor in that livery and only a small number were painted that way at the very beginning before going back to Ford blue. Apparently the green and yellow paint was also not very long lasting and this meant that most ended up being painted blue during their working lives. At least four of these early tractors have since been restored to their original green and yellow colour scheme though

It is the name of the company that built them, Roadless Traction. They started out by fitting various vehicles with tracks so that they could go anywhere and not need roads - hence roadless!!
