@@thamutha I feel like that's the case for NA/EU's league scene only. They keep getting imports from CN/KR. At least with KR/CN you still have a lot of the oldies e.g Faker/Uzi still trying to compete. This year's worlds was an amazing storyline with Deft v Faker. NA used to be interesting but NA esports is just bad in general

@@SilencePandaa That's the reason why you watch NA, the underdogs and trash talking = rivalry , forgiveness, drama, betrayals, friendship etc. The LEC is now doing that more. This is the reason why NA viewership declined. If I wanted to watch professional league matches I'd watch it in CHina or Korea. If I want to watch League entertainment it was NA but now It's EU.

Riot should just turn the League of Legends into an anime

***** that's not what meta means. Meta it's not just the champion pool, it's the way to play the game, the core gameplay. In S3 we saw a lot of ward wars, high reward asssassins, etc. This meta it's so boring it's less about how you play and more of champs being OP. Also the fact that the games always last 30+ minutes and everyone can win if someone in both of the teams makes a mistake.

This is still one of my favourites, shame it isn't that well known

Damn, back then when teams had their iconic players, their identity. Now players switch regions like shirts and teams like socks. You gotta keep focused all the time, blink and 4 out of 5 players of your fav team are now in the teams you always hated. New teams are formed on the run, giving you absolutely no space to form some boundary with the organization, but who gives the fuck, they'll either kick your favorite players for some random koreans or drop out of LCS next season anyway. And people are surprised why the LCS viewership is dropping. Nobody wants to watch a 'real new age sport' or whatever the fuck is Riot trying to make it smell like, we want back our Season 2-4 when rivalry wasn't just a fancy word without meaning. Now I know it's not entirely on Riot but regulations would help and awful lot. Some would say 'they don't put any restrictions in premier league on player shuffling either', yeah well hey when League teams will have 100+ year old tradition they can lift the restrictions as well, but until then 90% of the LCS teams are random

H4b0s yeah but regardless of that backdoor, xpeke's kassadin is like legendary. Even during worlds, we saw him carry so hard on it. I'm surprised they represented fnatic with cyanide on jarvan rather than xpeke on kassadin, because when I think fnatic, I think of how hard xpeke goes on kassadin or ahri.

***** Well that's the formula of MOST shounens. Different powers and helping each other reach their goals(well maybe not the goal part for FT). Either way I agree I would love to see LoL as an anime but NOT like FT imo more toward the actual lores, friends, and foes of each individual champion in their universe. The Twist of Fate video was a perfect set up for how LoL would be introduced. I think most would rather not you just reference FT but League as shounen anime in general.

Quite obvious considering it's the same animation studio (Studio Mir). They also animated The Legend of Korra season 1 and half of season 2.

You know I watch this every year before Worlds/MSI/RiftRivals etc. because it still gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. No League Of Legends animation has ever stood up to how awesome this one was.

Man watching this in 2017 makes me feel kinda weird, so much has changed since then, Gambit no longer exists as well as quite a few other teams, some if not most of the pros have either retired or are now on different teams then they where back then, and champions have either been added or changed so much that most of the ones shown here are no longer played in the meta.

+Galen Mok (Solarknight) just as Anmol Shah said, it is the same studio, and yet the animation style is "anime-like", it has its uniqueness in animation type, which makes it a bit different from eastern animations in general. I kinda like it tbh :)
