To do a lap well around one of the best road courses in North America was So fulfilling. I'm referring to the old original layout of course. Doing so in the wet, with a good state of mind is even better...the base of Gravity Cavity would always puddle water on the proper racing line, which made that entire sector a bit more interesting. So many good races, with so many great friends! LYNN MILLER AMA PRO #16

And watching a certain somebody wheelie down the other side was fun too.

I had heard stories of the gravity cavity. Parents, both of them, used to do some club racing way back. This is a perfect demonstration of how it worked. I also really miss un-assisted downshifting now. Thanks for that.

For the worse. Mickey Mouse chicanes...no dip, etc. It's all pussified for the sycophants. Risk has become a pejorative. There are forces at work trying to ban most types of racing, even e-racing as disgusting as it is...😂🙄 It will eventually happen. Through unconstitutional Paper-Laws (supposedly designed to 'Protect" the public from harm...) The way society is heading, any perceived risk by the global elite and soccer mom Karens will get the 'racist' hate' sexist, misogynist, woke treatment. Laugh if you will, but it's coming. The days of men and women taking RISK of their OWN FREE WILL are disappearing. #CuckWorld 🤮

Imo, Kurt was a bit underrated as a rider. He was a Mensch as well. Great guy, humble and nose to grindstone. His feats in Endurance and 250 GP were amazing. I met him in the pits at Rockingham in 1991, my novice season..pitted next to him actually. I was a know-nothing, punk at 24...🤣 Ill-equipped both on and off the track. He lent me advice and some tools! 😆 After that, when he would see me at a circuit he always came by to say hi and ask how my weekend was going. I was a big KH fan of course...Like I said, a great guy and a phenomenal racer. 👍 Miss the WERA days. Best org imo. CCS was different, more clinical, sanitized, not so friendly unless you were in the 'click' But I did race in both, just preferred Sean and Evelyn more.

I crashed a bike here in a California Superbike course back in 1990. I can still remember Keith Code running over to me laid out on the track and looking me in the face and me having to admit I "fucked up". Broke 2 ribs. Thing is, I felt I was really getting a feel for the bike and started aggressively passing and I got confused by a flag man telling me to back off and crashed the bike thinking he wanted me to pit. This was a scary track in those days. Going under that bridge and diving down that hill into the straight was like pretty mind blowing.

You would stick your left knee out in the windstream and use the wind pressure on it to turn the bike

You can tell what time of year it is based on the pollen on the track.
