Roached 2 Racing Episode 2 | Honda CRF450R Bike Build

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

It's tear-down day in our Roached 2 Racing bike build series where we take a beat up, non-running 2005 CRF450R that we picked up for $1000, which was probably too much, and turn it into fully built race bike. As you can imagine with a bike that you find for this price, it was roached-out and in desperate need of some attention to get it running again and back on the dirt. In this series, we hope to show you the behind the scenes on what exactly it takes to do a full rebuild on a neglected dirt bike. So, in this episode we start with a good scrubdown to get this bike as clean as possible, then move onto a quick inspection of the chassis bearings before we begin the tear down process. Make sure to subscribe and stay tuned as we will be dropping new episodes every Friday!

This is the type of content I’ve been hoping for! With this build I think it should be a budget build. Everything you need nothing that you don’t .

I’m so happy for this series and the way it’s being shown so far. Looks like normal people working on a crappy bike that’s bound to have unforeseen issues. Not every job is perfect and I appreciate the way you guys are doing this series.

you know what, I learned something today. I've always just bent over at a weird angle to try and pressure wash under the bike. I would have never thought to lay the thing on its side....

Pro tip: if you're tearing down the motor anyway, I find it easier to remove the head and cylinder while the engine is still in the frame. Then the bottom end is very easy to remove. Once bottom end gets rebuilt I re-install it again first and build the top end while in the frame. Much easier.

How do you work around all those new parts and bring home a paycheck? At least for a few weeks I'd probably break even. How long has Chad Reed worked there?? That guy is his doppelganger. And why isn't there any grease zerts on dirt bikes?
