I’m pumped I ran across this series! I ride a 2005 Crf450r at the track and love it. I just recently picked up another 2005 crf450r for $500 to build. I got the bike as a rolling chassis and three boxes of parts. Can’t wait to watch each episode to see what you guys run across.

Rocky Mountain ATV MC I’m sure you guys will have all your bases covered but all the small details add up and vapor blasting is worth the hype! I got some parts vapor blasted and there’s just nothing that comes close to the finish. My 450 is a 2008 Crf450r flat tracker btw

Just bought a 06 crf450r and trying to rebuild it too first time working on a bike 😂

Can't wait to see more! On a selfish note; Please mention along the way the minor differences that would allow similar work on similar bikes, i.e. the CRF250F and CRF250X (mine). How about a Magura hydraulic clutch?

Do a brembo master cylinder and a steel line to get a TON more braking out of the front

What kind of shape is the cylinder in? An option might be getting the cylinder repaired and re-plated. I've been down that road a few times. Fixing the bike is almost always cheaper than buying another one! - Wes

I'm about to purchase a 2005 with low compression. I plan to do the top end already, what else should I do?

I have an 05 CRF 450 as well. Just put a Rekluse 3.0 clutch on it. I ride mostly single track in AZ and that clutch has turned it into a different animal. It's like cheating.. What direction are you going with this thing? Moto, Supermoto, Supercross, GNCC, ???

This will turn into a trail/desert bike! That's cool you like the rekluse so much!

Anyone can replace parts. Let's see some real world repairs, straighten those radiators not replace. True the wheels don't just replace. Make them brake calipers work like new.

There ya go. Call into your parts counter for those gaskets and seals and let's see they're response. Use your resources you have in house. Lube those cables, rebuild that carb, repair that cracked air box. In our world (bikingonabudget) is real. Keep up the good videos 👍
