I'm semi-new army (sometime at the beginning of this year or the end of last) but I'm pretty sure its like a respecting the artist type of thing

Indigo is the 6th color in rainbow. ARMY's are purple (7th), and Namjoon represents himself as blue (5th). So this album is in the middle of himself and ARMY. Also there are many ryhme in his korean lyric. For example, "When all this fame turned into shackles", 'fame' and 'shackles' have almost same sound in Korean. Another example, "My start was poetry", "Start" is pronounced "Si-Jak", and "Poetry(poem)" is pronounced "Si" in Korean, so "Si-jak' starts with "Si"(poem). His wordplay and double meaning are more impressive if you can read the lyric in Korean😊😊

fireworks disappear at once, but flowerworks doesn't. rm said desire to remain around us like flower. and Nak Hwa nori-korean traditional firework was really meaningful. Nak Hwa means falling flower and falling fire. in the mv, fire is not cg, it's real.

This song his the mirror of how Namjoon is feeling for a long time which he showed so well in Festa 2022. He needs freedom, a new chapter, to be more himself and to have emotional structure and support in his personal life. His freedom it's represented by the wild flowers field vs fireworks (star shows, concerts and celebrity life). That's why he aims for flowerworks vs fireworks. 💜

There was no SUGA production on this album. Dockskim said he worked the hardest on this song, producing it, and that Dockskim was thinking about retiring, but after working on this song, he changed his mind, got inspiration from RM. That was an awesome story. There is an interview RM did, and all the artists were interviewed as well. It was really good. You could do that one for your PATREON, or post it here also. I would love to see your reaction to it. I'm sure your PATREON ARMY's will request it. He said this was his title track because this song means the most to him. there is also an RM - Tiny Desk Home concert you could do. His band are Dockskim, the guy that produced this song, and others of this close friends. You could do that one too.

Namjoon's sense of pride is always great

i very much hope joon sees your reaction 🫶 joon said he doesn’t want to live like a firework which is bright and flashy but temporary. he’d rather live like a wildflower, humble but beautiful and proud. both scatter across the sky (as fire or as petals) but one fizzles out and leaves emptiness behind and the other is eternal, always finding new ground to plant itself into. i think he’s struggled for a while with holding onto his “true” self, it seems like he equates fireworks to boyhood and wildflowers to eternity. at one point he says he can’t go up to the stars again which implies he doesn’t want to be a firework, despite their beauty they’re always flashing and doing what needs to be done to put on a show. in contrast, wildflowers are calm, proud, loyal to their roots, and beautiful in a gentle and consistent way. i’m so unbelievably proud of him. this entire album is amazing and i hope he’s proud. your reaction was so funny!! you’re very good at interpreting lyrics- understandable as a rapper haha.

In many interviews him and the members said they when the time come they will fall gracefully, and they are not afraid of it. The significance of the storm - he also talk how his success right is equivalent to a storm, there’s so many things going on sad he is at the center of it.

Great point. Also, a firework burns so bright but falls quickly. I think he’s saying he’d rather be a wildflower which lasts longer than just a few seconds. A wildflower can wither beautifully over time.

This is what makes me fall in love with BTS not by their looks (well it's a bonus tbh 😍) but by the deep lyrics they put into their works. It makes you stop and think about life while analyzing or understanding their lyrics. And that's what a true artist should be.

I was waiting for your reaction. I love your reactions and view on lyrics. I am in love with Wildflower and the whole Indigo album. The album is so raw, vulnerable and deep. I also love all the collaborators on the album. They all fit perfect to the songs and match RM's voice and tone. Btw RM said that he would like us to listen to the album in order (just so you know). The more I listen to this song, the more touching it gets… The Korean title, "Wild Flower Works” is a flame falling to the ground, unlike ‘fireworks’ that flower toward the sky. I can remember his words that he wanted to be a flame, but now he wants to live like a wild flower. Despite achieving everything and standing at the top, living so fiercely in introspection... I'm proud of them, but sometimes I feel sad. “Wildflower Works” in the MV are an intangible cultural asset of Korea.

When he's in the storm, the debris flying around him includes microphones. I think he looks finally free in the last shot when he's lying in the flower field where the real him belongs.

Listening to the whole album and it's not just any old album, it's a ride of emotions, phases of one's life, the storm, chaos within when the world see only calm outside, integral part of all these moments in our lives, which we have all experienced and are going through. Respect Namjoon, a lyrical poet, no one can put these feelings into words better than him.

The music video is just mind blowingly beautiful. The lyrics hit hard too, I get goosebumps every single time I listen to this song. RM never ceases to amaze me. The love and respect I have for this man 💜

And this is why I save my reaction views for all the ARMY reactors that wait for the 24 hr rule. Thank you, Anthony! 💜😘

@@dolcegoldiekilendo2962 We ask that reaction videos not be uploaded until after 24 hrs because the first 24 hrs are focused on streaming the song for charting purpose. Many ppl react to BTS for clout and views because they know ARMY will watch, and by doing that, they're essentially taking a portion of the spotlight/focus. Veteran ARMYs are aware of this rule but not newer ARMYs, so those of us who know this rule, will not watch any reactor who breaks it. After the 24 hours, we'll watch all the reactors who abided by the rule first (like Anthony).

This song is both a banger & really beautifully written piece of poetry & allows ARMYs know what Joon is dealing with in his day to day life for the past 10 years and as Anthony says I just want to give him a hug as he definetly needs it, Indigo is a Masterpiece of an Album & it has been the first album to make me cry while listening to each track & reading the lyrics. Yes thank you for respecting the first 24hrs rule. I believe when he is talking about visualizing the end it is because most K-Pop groups are signed for like 7 years and most just kinda disappear after that time frame because their contracts have ended. Not very many live longer. So 7 guys from a no name company surely would not extend pass that, if they got that far. He hadn't planned for it not ending. He was mentally unprepared for it lasting and becoming as big as it did. In this, he started to lose himself as he had originally thought he would be. He is someone who likes to see the whole picture and when the edges started to blur from uncertainty I think it scared him and caused him to stop and check himself. To ask "Is this what I really wanted? Am I who I really want to be?" Hence, we have Indigo. I also love Still life with Anderson Paak. I have read the lyrics to it yet, but I love the music. Oh I will stop now sorry for the length.

He's lived a life in his 20s that many will never relate to or have the opportunity to experience yet everything he has to say resonates so universally. He's genuinely a very very special person. That's what this song is trying to display, even though he has everything he's slowly losing himself and he's taking that in mind and just wants a beautiful place to let it all go even though it's full of sadness.
