The Rivers State Police Command has declared former Niger Delta militant leader Gabriel 'General' Asabuja wanted following his alleged provocative statements in a viral video amidst the ongoing crisis in the state.
The police stated that they had invited him, but he refused to honor the invitation, and they are now on the lookout for him.

Similarly, the Rivers State Police Command has located a suspect who injured himself with a suspected dynamite during a protest near Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
The incident occurred during a demonstration by People’s Democratic Party supporters over a local government leadership crisis. The injured suspect was found in the Intensive Care Unit of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, where he received treatment under tight security. Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the explosion.
