You know, when described like this, seasons 1-4 actually manage to sound cohesive, if incredibly melodramatic and ridiculous. And then season 6 rolls around and suddenly there's superpowers and merging supernatural universes and it's like "theeeeeere it is".

Yea actually watching seasons 1-4 didn't make them seem super cohesive. The plot was often lost or forgotten about. Like one scene Veronica declares to her dad that she is fighting against him, the next she asks him for help.

Watching the first two minutes allows me to remember that this show wasn’t batshit insane in the beginning. I remember watching the first 2 seasons and thinking it was a decent show.

Nahhhhh YOU GUYS NEVER READ ANY OF THE COMICS??? ? Cus in the comics it explains well that Sabrina is part of the universe and there are so many diverse comics in the Riverdale world that leads up to them going back in time cus Riverdale comics where made in the late 1940's so it makes sense that they all died in the early 2000's the OG creator who made the comics is dead so they made it up to his expectations

I love that everything in the first 4 seasons sounds relatively normal and then it just goes completely unhinged in season 5

Every season seemed extraordinarily stranger than the last, but wow season 6 really came in swinging for the fences

I have never seen a show escalate so much in insanity. It doesn't matter if it's absolutely terrible, Riverdale is truly an iconic series

I fell in love with Riverdale in season 1-2 but I also really liked season 3-4. All I can say is that from 5-7 the show just never felt the same and even If I watched it I missed "my" Riverdale and why I fell in love with the show. It was just too much and all over the place in genre and story wise and sometimes just weird, and thats coming from someone who thought 3-4 was fine still!! Im so sad it did end like this because it could have been so much better. It had potential. But with that said, It will still have a special place in my heart.

Salute to those men and women who watched this show from beginning to end.... They must have gone through a lot..

I watched up to season 5 and then they lost me. When they started adding magic I was super confused. I watched it because I was just curious to see how absurd the storylines could get. But wow 😂😅

Genuine answer: They started to lean really hard into the actual Archie comics for content, not realizing that the reason why a lot of adaptation take liberties in what they adapt, is because sometimes it doesn't translate well into live-action. No joke, the whole alternate realities thing, is ripped straight from the comics, but it works there cause well, its a comic, logic goes out the window there.

I’ll miss Riverdale. Season one was the best. I admit it started getting too convoluted during the gargoyle king mess and all the Hiram shenanigans. I really did enjoy season 6 and 7 tho. Seasons 3-5 was a snoozefest.
