I do agree Bonnie Bennett deserves better especially when came to ending, but I prefer her relationship with Damon over Enzo. Since we see these characters development overtime throughout the series. Even putting there differences aside working together on some occasions. Also it was official in the books. Just thinking about it may realize how much fun it was to watch their relationship changes overtime becoming genuine, comforting, and entertaining to watch overall. Compare to Elena with Damon where there was just full of arguments, problematic behavior and and enabling each other bad habits. Bonnie never enabled Damon bad behavior and always was honest even when the other didn’t appreciate it. But this allow Damon to start taking some accountability for himself and changing for the better version of himself. While Elena would just give him a pass. Seriously the writers could allow Bonnie and Damon to be the endgame. That would had been better.

Damn this show had a LOT of secret societies that also weren’t aware of each other

@@barsbarsbarzUnfortunately that’s why I didn’t really feel much when Stefan and Enzo died. I kept thinking “well, death has become a minor inconvenience at this point, they’ll bring them back”. And then they didn’t. And I was just a little befuddled, especially with Enzo, who died supernatural. Bonnie was at her peak power in S08’s finale, she’s brought people back multiple times, how could she not bring him back?

Looking back on it, it is so wild that the original vampires were introduced so early in the series. Their prominence in every show in the universe really makes it seem like the entire mythology is really about them rather than Elena and her friends.

When you focus on them, you kinda figure out that Elena and her friends were more of a minor segment in their lives. Klaus was the most connected to them, since he was close to Stefan and Caroline, but all things considered, they weren’t that major for the family at large. And if you think about it, the entire mythology really is about them. Among other things, Katherine, Stefan, Damon and everyone each of them turned exist because of them.

This recap saved me from watching the entire series even once (I did watch season 1 and a few episodes of season 2). Grateful. I have all that time back and my brain won't be damaged by the hours of stupidity.

I too loved only seasons 1 to 4... After that, I lost interest in Vamipre diaries and didn't want to watch the other seasons.. I moved on to The Originals after season 4 of the Vamipre diaries... The Originals was more engaging than The Vamjpre diaries after season 4

Stefan & Damon only liked Elena bc she looked like Katharin. Elijah was an idiot & and always was. Stefan too, he should've let Damon die from Tyler's bite. Mason, Jenna & Jules should've survived season 2. Anna & Vicky should've survived season 1. Finn is my favorite Orignial. Enzo was so annoying when Stefan left to live his own life. Ivy deserved better. Bonnie should've killed half the characters just because. I wish Seline got a redemption arc. Stefan deserved better in the end. It should've been Enzo or Damon who died to kill Katharin.

Why would he be mad at being made a vampire? Vampires are in no regards "immortal." They can still die. Why would you be mad about that?

Am I the only one who started crying again when he recapped some of the more devastating/sad parts of this show?

Elena and Damon didn't officially started date until late season 4 because everybody thought she was sired tell him after she turned to a vampire. Plus Sheriff Liz Forbes already accepted her daughter in the second half of season 2😂 lol... You probably meant that she reconcile with her estranged husband in season 3. At the end of season 3 Elena did not sacrifice herself. Rebecca murdered her by running her off the road in order to stop dark Alaric and pay back for murdering her brother Klaus who she thought was dead at the time. ☆In my opinion I think the MVP stars of TVD has to go to Rebecca and Klaus because without them the show probably wouldn't be as popular if The Originals didn't make an appearance. It was a smart choice to include them in the series and had a spin-off.

Never realized how bad the last seasons of the show were, they made Bonnie a literal god at the end. They clearly stated that nothing could break Kai's spell and any attempt would result in the death of Elena, yet Bonnie somehow is able to break it without consequence? They clearly stated that a witch with too much power would die if they use it, yet Bonnie somehow pushes back literal hellfire and is completely fine? It took an entire coven to create a prison world for Kai, yet Bonnie created another one and a place for Enzo to remain in by herself? The way Bonnie should've died the second she attacked Klaus and in so many other instances yet ended up not only surviving everything but becoming incredibly overpowered (probably the most powerful character outside of the Original family) at the end is crazy. And people still complain how she got mistreated, like they gave her the biggest plot armor I've seen since Batman vs Superman. Also how in the hell is Matt still in season 8, did they really need a character to remain human throughout the whole show lol

Yeah, the way she ended up solving the Sleeping Beauty spell was a massive cop out. I figured that was the writers realizing they put themselves in a corner. They made it impossible to have a legitimate way of fixing that, so when they just handwaved it like “I just figured it out [off screen, without trouble]” I was in disbelief. Also, she brought back dozens of people from the dead, with less power than what she had in the end, and she couldn’t bring Enzo back?
