I'm a singer and I am 52 years old. This was a favorite when I was 11. I grew up watching Emmet Otter. I loved singing this. Still do!
I never understood why more bands didn't cover this tune. This was my intro to metal waaaaay back in the day, still love it. Great job guys!
I am 46, still one of the heaviest songs I've ever heard!l Emmett otter got his ass handed to him on this night 🤣
The weasel was the best one in the band! I still remember his cool puffy hat down over his eyes and his snaggly teeth. Why isn’t this on tv every year with A Christmas story??????
Everyone over age 35 thanks you for this cover, haha! I've introduced the movie to a whole new generation of kids....they LOVE this part of the movie:-).
I'd start screaming if a band at a bar just started playing this! 😲
I remember the first time I heard this. I was probably 6 years old. I knocked all the books off the bookshelf kicked over a coffee table smashed a few commemorative plates and I was just about to throw my father's pool cue out the window when my dad walked in wondering what all the commotion was. He heard the nightmare band and started to headbang wildly and kick holes in the wall. By the time the song is over we had torn all the stuffing out of the couch. Then he said "son I'm proud of you." we spent the rest of the day listening to Black Sabbath and Judas priest. He was later killed at a Gwar concert. It was what he always wanted.
Real ones know that even if Emmet or Ma "morally" deserved to win, the Nightmare were objectively the best. Well done!
wow..vocals are very close to original. nice
River bottom nightmare band.
WELL, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,THAT WAS TO HAVE BEEN OUR LAST ACT.
The grass doesn't grow in the places that we stop and stand!

Not only is this seriously rockin'.... this is hilarious as hell! >D
Jim Henson would be so proud
If I ever hear this live I’ll lose my shit. This song rocks forever
Best...
Hell F*****g Yes! Great tune and a great cover of it. The lead singer sounds like the weasel and they've even got a guy who sounds like Chuck. I always loved that lyric "The grass does not grow on the places where we stop and stand."
They sound like the original song. Excellent job!
They rocked like HELL!
