In 1989 I travelled to India with Ariana Airways, with one stop off in Prague. It was a a real adventure! At Heathrow the lady at book in wished us luck. Of course the flight was delayed. They did look after us at the airport very well. Our flight was too late for our connection in Prague. So we had to stay in Prague for a couple of days. They looked after us well (hotel, etc) as could be expected in what was at that time behind the iron curtain. We were called back to the airport on the second day. On arrival we were to learn the pilot was ill so couldn’t fly. With no other pilots available we had to wait. Eventually they sorted somebody to fly the plane and so rather than go direct to Deli , we were to fly via Kabul and finally Deli. Just before banking to land at Kabul we were picked up by fighter jets, one on either side of our plane. They were dropping flares to deflect heat seeking missiles that were targeting planes coming into Kabul. Have to admit the flares were stunning. We luckily made a safe landing and were rushed if the tarmac into a transit lounge. It was basically a freeze block room, wooden bench seats and a truly stinky toilet through a door in the corner. What you have now is pure luxury by comparison. We had to wait until things settled down. Nowhere to get something to eat or drink just wait. A chap (with a hat on the side of his head, crumpled white shirt partially pushed into his navy trousers) turned up to tell us he was the head of crashes and that our flight was broken!! We would have to take the next flight out which was going to Moscow, Tashkent and then Deli. In the time waiting. this room was filling up with Afghanis with sheep, goats and large bags of grain. I was totally fascinated by the mix of people that were arriving in this “safe” room. We were just not going to be able to all fit on the plane that we could see on the runway. At some point the crash man again turned up, said our plane was ok now and we all had to rush onto the plane to get out of the airport. He didn’t encourage any faith in our flight actually staying in the air...but we had no alternative. Before take off I nodded off in my seat and awoke to the pilot talking to the toilet door. An air hostess had locked herself in because she was terrified of going to Moscow. Oh eventually the captain sorted it out, off we went to Moscow. To our delight Moscow worked out fine and after a few minutes in the air we were told we wouldn’t be stopping over in Tashkent, we were actually going direct to Deli. That’s what happened. Weirdly, in Deli we hired a taxi to get us to our hotel....guess what? .... it broke down on the way!! A fitting end to a crazy, crazy flight. Ah the food on the Russian to Deli leg of the flight was actually delicious, rustic but delicious.

Ur government hand r full of innocent afghans blood!!! Plus wash ur mouth then talk about our beautiful country!! And after all we do expect hate from 🇵🇰people who does terrorism in our country this is nothing new!! Inshallah peace is on its way to Afghanistan the heaven on earth 🇦🇫🇦🇫🇦🇫🇦🇫🇦🇫🇦🇫peace!!!!!

Princess Bell thats what I am saying you blame Pakistan but do you even know we hosted 4 million people from your country as refugees when India denied taking you people as refugees after Soviet war . Are you aware of it ?????? 4 million people is a big big number and now you people say Pakistan is doing terrorism there . Please sister get your facts right . If Pakistan was this bad we would never have hosted you people for decades in our country putting so much pressure on us tax payers . I still remember as a kid that Afghans use to live in a suburb in Karachi and going over there was like getting robbed as you people never use to work which I see here in Australia as well that Afghan refugees are on center link and getting money from Australian govt. So please before pointing out fingers go and read some history about how Pakistan hosted you people when even your beloved India denied excess to you . And at last I said in my above message to be polite to people who are wishing blessing on you rather then acting as an illiterate .

It is the fighting of Muslim factions followed by the Soviet invasion that started their downfall. Every nation should take care of their own people. It is not the job of western nations to take care of the world. Kabul can be wonderful again; only if the Afghans want it that way.
