Our rendition of Willie Nelson's original, the true king of country and the open road. America's wild and rugged grandfather. Sweetheart of the serenade. We have cherished his impact on the music world for many years and wanted to tip our hits to him with this stripped down simple country cover. Some of the sweetest tunes are the most simple and we loved the lilt and cadence of this lullaby of sorts, letting our instrumentalist David Brown and Duncan Wickel lean into a honky tonk sound to accompany the three part harmony vocals. Everyone loves a broken love song. Willie writes the finest.
