In her final moments, I held her in my arms whispering "let go my love be free". This is what I was feeling in those moments. I can say no more, nothing more needs be said.

What a beautiful gift you gave to her with those precious words. Sometimes dying people cling to this life because they don't want to leave us.When we assure them that we will be okay,they are able to let go and leave.I am so very sorry for your loss.

I played this song as I held my fathers hand as he took his final breaths. So grateful for such a beautiful, peaceful melody. I know it aided my fathers transition and made the moment that much sweeter. This song is forever engrained in my heart as it was the most beautiful experience of my life so far, to be present as my father's breath left his body. 💓🙏🦅

Thank you for sharing this. My grandpa passed away last year. I was with him the day before he left this place. It was a difficult experience. He drifted in and out and went from gasping for air to speaking coherently. One of my brothers told me that we should see beauty in the departure of our loved ones before it’s a bit like being with a woman who is giving birth. I couldn’t even wrap my head around that concept until I read your comment. Blessings xoxo.
