Rishi Sunak's tobacco legislation, which would have been a big part of his legacy, has been "washed out" as a result of his surprise election announcement, leading Sir John Curtice to question the prime minister's wisdom.

    Sunak has not EVEN been PM for 2 years. He achieved precisely nothing, but I guess that's better than his predecessor who was in power less than 2 months and crashed the entire economy and devalued the currency. Way to go Tories. The party of business and economic stability.

Our system works better, our PM has by definition the support of a majority of MPs. Now fix our outdated electoral system and we'll have a sound democratic structure.     Seems a deeply unconservative position tbh, what about freedom of choice? We already have laws regarding young people smoking and plent of health warnings regarding it.. I mean even in the most authoritarian regimes in the planet people can still get a smoke.
