Jordan was def my fav player growing up! The thing I loved about him is that he always played with his heart. Even when teams played dirty against him and it was hard to watch as a fan… but they could never beat the heart out of him and take out that competitiveness in him. No matter what he refused to give up! That’s a real Champion, he showed u to keep going till u Win. It’s crazy to think that MJ changed the game of basketball forever and turned t into a global sport, making everybody love basketball. The NBA was def in its Prime and at its hight when he was in the League.

Charles was wrong, MJ didn’t outplay him, “The Chicago Bulls” beat him. Charles made the game between himself, and MJ, but MJ knew it was The Chicago Bulls team against Charles. MJ had learned to depend on his team, and Charles Barkley had not learned to depend on his team, he was trying to do it all himself.

The 98 Bulls were old, at the tail end of their prime. At 35 years old MJ carried that team on his back to win a 6th title. The fact that they were so old and they beat teams that had more overall talent is a testament to how great MJ really was. I fully believe Indiana would have won the championship that year if they would have beat the Bulls. They were a better match up for Utah than the Bulls were. Jordan simply refused to let the Bulls lose, he was going to finish what he started come hell or high water. The 98 championship was the hardest of the Bulls Dynasty. Utah was hungry and out for revenge, they were the favorites and really should have won. Michael Jordan's will to win and his competitive drive is 2nd to none! What he accomplished in 13 seasons is insane, the records he set that great players who played for 20 years couldn't surpass. The crazy thing is the only Stats he was concerned with was winning games and the ultimate stat, CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS!! Kobe chased Jordan and couldn't catch him. James was chasing Jordan and couldn't catch him so he started chasing longevity stats. MJ is THE GOAT and I personally don't see that changing. It will take more than stats and 6 rings, the league is watered down now that nobody has to fight to win a title. Jordan was literally beat down on the court in his FIGHT for a title. The defense was insane! There is no real defense anymore and the game is boring because of it. Anyone who chases Jordan will fail as a result of the no defense era. In my mind Jordan, Bird and Magic are the top 3 all time!!

  • @PsychLifer

    @PsychLifer

    8 ай бұрын

I couldn't agree more! The 80's and 90's basketball era just felt like a totally different game compared to today. Magic and Bird changed the game in the 80's. MJ in the 90's, and for me Kobe did bring some of that magic for the 2000's. Labron was suppose to take the mantel after Kobe but while he is a good player he is not great just overhyped because the NBA needs that "current GOAT player" to be the face of the NBA and keep interest. A great player is not only about their size and longevity stats but they also need that killer competitive drive and win at all cost attitude who succeeds on their own merit without looking at a ref to make a call for them. I never imagined that someone can flop like Lebron and people would turn around and call him the greatest of all time. They may try to say it's smart to flop and he has high court IQ for it but for me it makes him look a big phony trying to get fouls and technicals from players half his size. A true GOAT in my opinion would never need to do that.

Still biggest winner in NBA history regardless of the small amount of teams Magic Bird. Then we have Lebron Shaq Wilt Hakeem Duncan. My top ten has to have a case for best at that position. All these guys are outright or Arguably the best at their position.

Jordan said that the shot he took in North Carolina to win the championship was the shot that gave him the idea that he can win and challenge against other great players, but let's be honest that last shot gave him the confidence and that assassin mentality to rise above the rest of the great players. Jordan once he entered the league he went on a rampage to prove and show he wasn't some to mess with, thank god I was blessed to be able to see him play as a teenager.

I'm sure he felt the pressure and wanted to succeed in the NBA, just like many other new players. But instead of folding from the pressure, he truly rose to the occasion. It was a different time, and feeling to be a basketball fan in the 90s such a great time.

But, for me, the fire was lit and I waited until his eventual comeback in March 1995. The rest is history. This current era is not the Golden Era of the 1980s and 1990s, but we as fans can hope that perhaps one day, it may be.

Chuck deserved the MVP in 1993 as the Bulls were just chilling in the Regular Season that year, although Jordan was still MJ, but Chuck lifted the Suns to a 62-20 standing. But MVP or not, everyone knows that MJ was still the best player in the league.

Cause wanting regular folk that would likely not understand your drive and interest, to like you/have an interest in you.......is like selling yourself short for their acceptance. MJ overall teenage experience in basketball (being that this was his focus and interest) worked out in ways that it was meant to......to a T!

The coach for north Carolina thought he was teaching Jordan a lesson by controlling he's scoring points because he didn't want him to be the star of the team. All the coach did made Jordan prove that he's a more than a better player than he's coach thought of him in college by recking havick and dominating the NBA league for decades.

  • @junglekutz5625

Sometimes you have to laugh at (and at other times), role your eyes at folk that aim to do the likes.......as it's petty and down right off behavior. If living Life (for everyone) involved them aiming to be a star.......folk would be going out their way (worst than most do now) to annihilate whoever they felt would get in the way of this kind of opportunity. The thing about most coaches is, they tend to use the same mind games on everyone.......not realizing that they will encounter those athletes and players that's wired differently. So aiming to teach whatever lesson they believe will work in their favor........won't always work out in ways that they're expecting. As the whole point of being an athlete is to grow and excel at whatever said person is choosing to do. The minute, the very person that should be supporting this energy interrupts or tries to stifle it, (for some) their interest and drive doesn't desire such guidance and direction.

With 11 NBA championship wins, 5 MVPs, and 12 time NBA all star Bill Russel was undoubtedly the GOAT of his time. But as time passed so have our perceived greatest players. Bill Russell 50s/60s, Magic/Larry 80s, Jordan 90s, Kobe 2000s, Labron 2010's. It's hard to have a true comparison as these legends played in different times. But they were all undoubtedly the GOAT's of their time.

They would have beaten UNLV record for going undefeated in regular season and the playoffs rounds. Until, UNLV lost in the championship game.🙄🙄

I'm old enough to have seen Jordan play his last few seasons in the NBA. Most people that say LeBron is the GOAT, in my opinion, are too young, they see the best player right now, in this era, they think he's the greatest ever. They didn't get the chance to see Jordan play in the NBA so they have nobody to compare LeBron to. Don't get me wrong, LeBron is one of the all-time greats, but the best ever? I will still give that to MJ. I'm not a Bulls fan but all i can say is that Jordan had that presence on the court that, even though i was watching the game on TV, i could somehow feel his aura. I can't explain it - it was this feeling of inevitability that no matter who they're playing, the Bulls won't lose as long as Jordan's there. It's inevitable that Jordan will win. That feeling, i never felt it with LeBron or any other player.

  • @PsychLifer

So true! I've explained it that same exact way to so many people. When Jordan played, there was just a different feeling when he was on the court. Lebron is great, no doubt, but just doesn't give you that same feeling MJ gave us.
