Written by John, this is his story, brought alive by Ringo. Superb!
@The5thGen

@user-ll2yj3hy4c
Lennon wrote "I'm the Greatest" because Muhammad Ali used to use that phrase all the time.
@magneto7930
Paul McCartney wasn't missing at all. This whole album had contributions from John, Paul, George, and Ringo, among others.

I saw Ringo live in July 2012 just a few days after he turned 72, he sang this song, but instead of 32 he sang, "and now I'm only 72 and all I want to do is boogaloo". He can still boogaloo! :)
@clydekimsey7503
Ringo always had a gift for irony and poking fun of himself 😅
@debjorgo
And the ending with the "alright, alright...." and the grunting is reminiscent of Revolution.
@garyarnett1220
The only song to may lay claim Along with this for closest post Beatles song is Harrison's Ode to John , " All Those Years Ago" with McCartney and Ringo
@cathyortiz1280
John wrote it but had Ringo song it because if he sang it, people would take him seriously and criticize him for being an egomaniac. Ringo singing it makes it funny. 😆
@bluetopguitar1104
I bought this album as a teenager. I was bummed about the Beatles, this album helped. Ringo puts out such good vibes.
