This show has really confirmed what I thought about Milim in the main series and what I've read about her in the books. She really is just a girl who has tremendous power. She is the way she is, because basically she wasn't raised. She has had all of this power for so long, no one has ever told her "no". They either feared her, worshipped her, sought to use her, or to control her. No one ever treated her as a regular girl. But she's not stupid. I am pretty sure she knows full well what Rimuru has been doing with her. But she is willing to go along with it because Rimuru is her friend and is doing so earnestly with no ill intent. And because Rimuru is giving her part of a life she never had. Rimuru has given her the chance to just be an ordinary girl for quite possibly the first time in her life.

@@blizzard1198 Rimuru's ultimate ulterior motive is to ensure that his nation isn't destroyed by the whims of this mad dragon lady. That being said, he would never attempt to control her or force her to become something she's not. At the end of the day, they consider each other friends, and that's enough for Milim.

Milim just want to have some fun and want to live the life of a normal girl. She havs that with Rimuru because Rimuru understand that she is just a child and treats her as such.

It's also important to note that Rimuru is the one who helped Milim realise she never had a chance to be a regular girl before, when they're talking about the benefits of being a demon king in their first meeting. Rimuru points out that it sounds boring to be a demon king, and Milim is utterly shocked when she realises he's right. She had never even considered that there could be more to life than being a demon king.

I love that Milim is so gentle when playing with the goblin kids, in contrast to all the times she’s caused mayhem or sent people flying with her immense strength in the past.

In this series she's basically everyone's mother. She even scolds her brother for missing a spot while dusting.

Those kids are the reason Rimuru is in the process of committing war crimes in the main series.

The slime diaries is the most wholesome show ever. And milim is just adorable. The more I learn about her the more I love every little sweet thing that happens around her.

I love how slime diaries turned shuna into the perfect wife and rimuru the fun dad Wow thanks for the likes and comments everyone

To anyone unfamiliar with this anime, you know that adorable girl in the thumbnail with the pink hair and pigtails? She's basically this anime's equivalent of Beerus. No seriously, she's literally one of if not the strongest demon lord in a world full of op monsters and is known as "the destroyer".

Well in a way she had her childhood stolen from her. Because of her heritage she was feared and/or manipulated and that only got worse after her rampage. This is probably the closest she has ever had to something like a childhood. The fact Rimuru isn't afraid of her but at the same time has no interest in manipulating her is probably why she clicked with him and his kingdom.

I like the small things that they show that convey cuteness, like the scarf the little goblin girl wears is the same as geld's because she is always hanging around him.

i wish i could make igloos, there are so hard to make though, even when i get enough snow

Well it is possible if it stays cold. As a kid once i did one out of the snow pile created by the neighbours. Took multible days of letting it freeze an carving it.

Rimuru, as a king, playing with these kids has to be one of the most adorable anime moments ever

I hope slime diaries gets a season 2. It’s way too wholesome and fun

You can always count on Milim to go big. I mean, it's not like she can go any other way.

Milim is such a perfect fit for Slime Diaries. Her different outfits in this series are so cute, and her getting experience all these little fun things is so wholesome.

I find it beautiful that a goblin village was pretty much freed by a slime. So beautiful.

Damn Rimuru making time just to play with the little children of the town is simply too wholesome

I like more Milim in Slime Diaries she's more cute and funny than in the main anime

@none ?, from what I know, it's half-canon, meaning anything that doesn't directly contradict the main storyline can be considered canon, and anything that does contradict it (like Rimuru dueling King Gazel in a bunny suit in the Slime Diaries when he was dressed casually in the main series) isn't canon.

Love the goblin kids and music at 1:22. This the best part. Wow the music in the slime diaries are just so much more appealing then the main show. Though its these small everyday things that make it so sweet and adorable. Im glad theres a counterpush against the dark anime for just sweet innocent moments

Can we just take a second to appreciate the amzaing music in the backround though. Honeslty, so beautiful, almost reminds me of some Howl's Moving Castle kind of music.

That igloo's got a fancier interior decor than a lot of apartments I've seen.

This scene melt my heart..... as much as that ice will in the spring.

This show has become the most heart-warming anime of 2021.

I love this spinoff... it's so calm and relaxing. Then in a couple of weeks back to the action...

One thing I really enjoy about the slime diaries is how much it flushes out the friendship between Rimuru and Milim.

I love how rimuru uses great sage to have perfect craftsmanship

Slime diaries was such an amazing show, I'm truly glad we got it, some characters looks were a bit weird, but it was funny and wholesome

That’s amazing how they turned the igloo into art

Now let's remember that in the "slime diary" there is Milim, the current demon lord, and Rimuru, the future demon lord, who destroyed an entire army. Even Rimuru's servants are very strong And they have fun, they just relax and enjoy. What a contrast. That's why I love filler episodes, and this is a whole season. Это не перестаёт меня удивлять. I was suprise to see that every episode is 23mins long, it pretty much like another season

I said this before and I'll say it again! Seeing Milim having fun and smiling makes a big fan of her myself REALLY happy. =3 Honestly, this was a truly wholesome part of the episode. I think Milim likes you far more than you realise, Rimuru. =P

I LOVE Slime Diaries so much. It's the greatest companion to the main anime you could ask for. I loved the little Slice of Life elements in that one and than an ENTIRE SHOW of it.

Okay, I want to live in a World that has happy little Goblin kids doing happy little Goblin kid stuff with extra giggles. And a big Boar Orc King who sees it as a sacred duty to ensure those happy little Goblin kids stay happy and healthy.

With full context on millim and her past its honestly heart wrenching as well as warming to see her reactions in this video. Getting to see and experience all the little joys and wonder of a childhood with rimuru. This is all just so much wonderment for her, even as a millenia old demonlord this is all so new and beautiful and fun for her and totally outside of her understanding until it happens. Like, she had no concept of how good food could be until she got to eat some food from shuna because all she ever got before this was bland boring raw veggies. Its no wonder she is so devoted to her best friend ever.

This is why I love the Slime Diaries. It's so wholesome.

As someone who has never seen snow in real life, I so wanna try this.

Hard to believe in only a few weeks time we go from this sweetness to the main series again (not that that's bad) I just hope we get more nods to the goblin children and feature more side characters cough Apito, Zegion.

Rimuru casually using the smartest being/skill in the entire world or universe... to make an Igloo. Sounds like something he'd do.

I love the constant appearance of children in this series. Like all of the main characters are high ranking officials in some capacity, but they take time out of their days to let random kids play with them.
