No twerking, no laser effects, no smoke, no half naked, no vulgarities, no special voice over editing effects, no flashing lights, no glitter falling from the ceiling, no drones, no jewel sequence, no group of 10 backup singers, no disrobing on stage, no wardrobe malfunctions, no see through clothes, no humping the floor, no sexually suggestive dancing and no special lighting at all! I mean why watch this ? Ohh, I almost forgot, we watch and enjoy because of pure, raw and from the heart talent! Often imitated, but never ever emulated. THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS!

No show. It's just a record performance sung live and in person. That's enough for me. But today's audiences want to see a SHOW.

It'll never be repeated. What's great is that one of the causes of that revolution was the machines and media on which to record sound-the same things that mean the revolution was captured for posterity, and humanity will be able to thrill to those sounds until the last one of us has gone.

Peter, I listened to inspirational songs over 50 years ago that are up there in class and style with the Righteous Brothers'. I listened to Joe Batan sing "My Cloud" and "Ordinary Guy" and to the Jive Five sing "Begging You" and "What Time Is It?". I was 17; and, 52 years later, that style can't be beat by the non-sense of these day's junky music.

It is because it's a voice-over. They're still great. But if you play this on one track and their studio version on the other, you will see it matches to the millisecond. That's why you hear Spector's Wall of Sound in the background with no musicians anywhere in sight.

@@TheScottEF Apparently you NEVER heard the actual record and also NEVER did your little trick. The phrasing is totally different (and not as good in my opinion, they were trying to change it up). The record was right on the beat exactly. Yes, they were singing to a studio track of the music... but they were live. And, if you say there weren't any microphones... they are called 'shotgun' mics. Suspended from booms, they were controlled by stage hands. ALL the television studios used them. Maybe you should learn something about music and engineering before you open your ignorant piehole.

Absolutely fantastic liked and subscribed amazing song. Silly story I have three kids who are old now I used to sing this song to them as I rocked them in the chair feeding them out of the bottle and I would switch up you’ve lost that loving feeling with you’ve lost that sleepy feeling and it would lull them all to sleep. I must’ve sung that song to my three kids thousands of times and it is now their favorite song.
