Hi Vincenzo 🤜🤛
Nonna is the real deal!,real Italian from Italy 🇮🇹!
I love how you interact with your grandmother. Keep pushing her buttons like how I push my grandma's buttons! I'll keep learning more Italian cuisine from you in the meantime
😂 I just love you guys!!!! She’s so funny when you went for the cheese 😂😂. I put cheese on mine...ssshhhhh 🤫, don’t tell Nonna ☺️.
This was my favorite growing up (low key still is.) I like adding some crushed red pepper to the garlic and olive oil, too 😍🌶

This is my go to weeknight dinner. I often add shrimp and always crushed red pepper. And now I miss my Nana May she rest in piece.

One of my favorite dishes to make. So easy and healthy. My mother made it like this too. You and your Nonna are adorable. She’s so old fashioned which I love.
Great recipe one of my favorites thank you for sharing.
I needed an easy quarantine meal with things I already had, and this did not disappoint. I used frozen broccoli (two 10-oz bags) with ziti and added a bit of red pepper flakes. It was fantastic and made a lot!!! Great recipe!!!
INTERESTINGLY AMAZING!
Making this tomorrow for a party I make it like my Nana taught me very similar to your recipe but to the oil and garlic I add anchovies about 3or4 they melt into the oil and garlic and add such a delicious flavor... I use cavatelli for the pasta and add pasta/broccoli water to make it creamy and yes we add locatelli cheese 💗 much love to you both!
Definitely will try this, Thankyou.
Nonna, I always keep the rubber bands off my produce❤. Lovely dish
Rosella dont you know by now that when it comes to grandma you are never gonna win. No put no cheese lol
God bless you both Rossella and Nonna. Thank you for sharing your chit chat back and forth in Italian. My Nonna passed before I was born, so I missed out on the kind of camaraderie you two have. Thanks for sharing ❤️🇮🇹❤️
Good Rosella, I am also from Puglia and we eat this dish often. It’s very plentiful and the taste is out of this world.
Rosella. You are the best Italian lady/cook I have seen! I love how you get along with Nonna. That is how I interacted with my Mamma. Auguri a tutti.
My mom did an American version of this as a kid and I loved it. This is something I’d like to do in its more proper ethnic way in order to try it in that way. Super easy looking and really delicious looking.
love it thank you
LOL the reach for the cheese at the end and the smack! I love nonna
First i luv u cookin w nonna. I miss mine n she SOUNDS like my nonna. I make thus dish all the time gonna try it this Way. Thank u. Have a great day 🇮🇹
Just found you and I so love you....reminds me of my sister in laws wonderful Nonna and Pop so Italian....loved to go when they where cooking...good memories....
This is Joey Cabbage saying “ i love broccoli and macaroni!” I don’t live with my family no more so if my place lets me make this I will! ! Thank you for making me remember how it’s supposed to be made ! Belicima!
Very interesting dish
What a beautiful Italian language is belissimo! Hello from Chicago
Your Nonna is so cute! Love this dish❤️
You two are so cute!!! Reminds me of me and my mom......she is from Naples and talks like Nonna with an accent. I can understand all you say in Italian. I love it. One of my favorite dishes to make. Yours looks fantastic. Hahaha yes I do the cheese!!
Love rigatoni & broccoli !
Nonna is so cute! I make this with spaghetti a different way. But want to try this method. Thank you for the advice!
Smart Nonna, I also keep the elastic bands as they come in handy lol x
Making this tonight
I saw my mom in Nonna. Same way of cooking. Delicious ❤️
Nonna is the boss! Cheers from Slovenia
I’ll try it
When I make rigatoni with broccoli, I like putting a scoop of ricotta cheese with it, if I have it in the refrigerator.
Looks amazing. I yell at my husband if he doesn’t take the grated pecorino when I make a garlic and oil based sauce. “Ya need the cheese!”. On the other hand, I totally get Nonna, because I get pissed off when my husband just reaches for hot sauce and not red pepper. Don’t mess with my flavors! (I married an American southerner). 11 years of marriage and he’s learning. Nonna says no cheese, then no cheese! Seriously, but the cheese though. ❤️ I feel you.
The best!
I am soooo making this
…”I puts only the garlics”. I love her accent, she’s sweet. Memories of my paternal grandma♥️🇮🇹🇺🇸
I love to put pecorino Romano on this dish 😹don’t tell Nonna !
Cooking now. Thank you! Will try with no cheese ;-)
We enjoy this dish. Also, we do this with spinach. Got to have some locatelli though.
Use the cheese! Pecorino Romano. And un poco peperroncino (red pepper flakes) with the garlic.
Rossella, mi piace molto come parle Italiano con il accento Americano.....I just love it.....and I love your show. Hugs to you both from Australia.....ps...I sometimes put cheese on mine...(don't tell Nonna).
I love cooking with nonna videos! I wish you would speak more italian per farmi sentire di nuovo in italia!
That looks delicious I will make it. I'm waiting to see somebody make veal and peppers. 😋😋😋
Straight up subscribed because of the adorable factor
You two are adorable. Subscribed solely based on the look on your face while Nonna cut the broccoli stalk, her way. lol
Sweet.🥰
I LOVE you and your grandmother. The best recipes and the bantering is the funny. Rossella, have you ever had a pastry from (i think) central Italy called Cuginetti. A grape and chocolate filled pastry? I wish I knew how to make them? Any idea?
Love the Broccoli Pasta. Rossella Do you know where I can get your cheese grater, Love it. Love You & Nonna.
Love pasta and broccoli. I like how you cooked the pasta and broccoli together. However, not to upset Nonna, I will be topping mine with cheese. LOL..
I add toasted bread crumbs on top ... really delicious ...
I like it with cheese.
You and your nonna are such cool people! Thank you for your amazing videos. You should speak Italian a little more! God bless you guys
shocking how good that was..nonna is cute as pie..
My family are Sicilian. My mom makes pasta with broccoli, but she makes it more soupy. Cooks the broccoli, garlic. Olive oil in a small pan. Then she gets spaghetti, breaks it in small pieces the cooks it in the broccoli sauce. When its done she serves it in a soup bowl, we always add Parmesan. I guess every recipe is different.
I love it... Nona is standing her ground... "You can put cheese if you like" Nona: " no... No.."
This is a favorite of mine. I like to add a spoonful of ricotta.
Love all of you. Yes I am Sicilian and definitely use cheese on all my pasta dishes...Even ones with seafood. Pasta is naked without cheese on it. To each their own. I've made this dish so many different methods but now I've settled on one. I saute the broccoli in oil..Then add garlic and more olive oil. Boil macaroni separately. Then I add some pasta water to the broccoli and finally add the pasta. Cook a few minutes and done. Prefer the broccoli with more texture here but have made it your way as well. Thank You
Simply fantastic pasta! I agree; no cheese!

Robert Stephens Mmm not sure I'm on board with that one 🤔
Great video, thanks. A bit too long but still very useful
I love this dish with ditalini. We put cheese though lol
My family's bataz and we always add cheese to this dish after it's cooked
Bravissime e simpatiche 🥦🍷
Buonissima ... troppo forte la tua nonna 👵 mi ricorda tantissimo la mia nonna 😛
We eat this every Friday during Lent.
Love this...but I put some locatelli before I eat it.
When you watch Italians arguing with literally everybody on the internet that's not Italian on how things should be done and telling the world how wrong we all are. I have to say that it brings some comfort to watch Italians love arguing with other Italians just as much.
You and your grandma are so cute together.
Nonna ..."ya sure" you need to put that on t-shirt.. Lol
You are the best, B E S T !
Omg I used to eat this so much as a kid I got sick of it lol
Damn sis you’re blowing it with the broccoli. Nonna knows what she’s doing. Trust her process. The long broccoli stocks is how my mom does it. So much better, plus fresh broccoli is ten times better than frozen broccoli. Fresh food over frozen every day Ps. Love the channel
Hahaha! Stems are the best parts!! Yes for cheese!!! Extra garlic please!! Lol 😂 we put onions in it to
Rossella, that looks so good, my favorite pasta is rigatoni's, together with broccoli you can't go wrong, and a sprinkle of grated cheese, will be perfect. As an Italian, the only thing I don't put cheese on is Fish, and any shell fish. Thanks for the video, Your the best!!!
I'm with Nona! I find the pe trimmed broccoli tastes weird. And I also save the rubber band! I often use them to bundle up things like herbs from my garden or electrical cords or instead of a chip clip....
LMAO I love Nonna Romana!! She know what that rubber band is for...lol.

I save mine too. They come in handy!!
Lol reminds me of my Nonna whenever I try and add cheese to Pasta dishes with seafood. We couldn’t add cheese anyways because our Nonni would deliberately not put the cheese on the table.
Both of my grandmothers died when I was too young to want to cook with them. I'm a bit jealous.
I make this all the time. Make sure you put some hot pepper in there!
You have to use cheese. But before the end of cooking... And then a little to garnish!
Nona is lovely
you have to add some acciughe into the souce ....it woud be better...great recipe

I do it with anchovies.....(but don't add the cheese when I have anchovies).
There is always a need for a good rubberband ;-)
I make it without the cheese. It's my favorite pasta dish. Mmmmmmmmmmm I never cook the broccoli and pasta together, even tho I use the same water. I love it with a lot of red pepper, but growing up, my mama used very little red pepper.
I know exactly how you feel!
❤
Rossella you should do it the way Nonna tells you to do it!
Yes yummy I wouldn't put any cheese either
I love pasta with broccoli but I got a put cheese on everything sorry NONNA AND BLACK PEPPER YUMMY 😋🍷🍷
It's funny but ive tried it with and wthout chesse and I felt like the cheese took over too much and I liked it better with just the broccoli garlic taste
I kind of agree with Nona about no cheese on this dish.. I love cheese but sometimes it’s a distraction to the delicate flavors
Im from Puerto Rico and we like so much all pastas with vegetables. Im going to do this one because I like so much the Brocolli with Mozarella Cheese with Pastasn Thank you so much for be there for us and receive from us all Blessings of GOD.
