@@KairuHakubiI am basically in the same "generation" as these guys (I'm 56). It was very common to see such "shorts" like these (and other stuff like hygiene, work ethic, and social skills) in elementary schools (late 1960s-mid 1970s) even though these films were typically created in the mid-late 1950s. I remember similar movies, and I MAY have seen this one when I was a kid, but can't specifically remember. I know these guys tend to find then riff these films often.

Stanton, agreed. Especially on the "Relevant" part of it. It's an easy trap to fall into for people who've been doing this for as long as the Rifftrax guys have to fall out of touch and their jokes to not be relevant anymore. They avoided this, however, clearly remain engaged with the culture, and thus their material is relevant without becoming dated.

Now I understand my dad's photography style. :P Apparently in the 50's the trend was to take pictures or film people with them facing directly in the sun. So much squinting! Our pictures in Paris looked like we were always grumpy and in agony cause of it. XDD

@@Stevie-J Um, yeah, you're kind of wrong. Old cameras worked pretty much the same, except they weren't digital. Using reflectors and auxiliary lighting (yes, they had electricity back then... LOL!) was and is still common in photography (nothing has changed). I laugh about the squinty photos for it was, and STILL is common for some people to have their photo subjects toward the sun (whereas I'd adjust my aperture and shutter speed to make up for the lack of light. Funny question, though! ;)
@johndenicola6173
2 жыл бұрын
I have NO idea why some had people face the sun - I could never understand their logic, (unless they couldn't afford flash cubes for their Kodak Instamatic cameras!! ), I'm a pretty advanced photographer --- Trust me, the "bad" habit of having people face toward the sun while photographing them is STILL practiced today. Every time someone wants to take a group photo outside and they ask everyone to face directly at the sun, I ask them, "Why? do you want a photo of everyone squinting as their eyes are in pain?" (and then I advise them to have everyone face in a given direction so they don't have to be looking into the sun.) My dad was a an excellent photographer (by "hobby" and every-day photography). He was born in 1939, raised my siblings and I through the 60s until we graduated in the early 1980s -- He knew better and had always taken some awesome portraits and group shots. I got a big kick out of your comment, especially in light that people STILL do that despite that digital cameras (point and shoot, cell, and DSLRs) all have automatic settings to handle light, etc.

There's some hose in this house
Without the badge he doesn't have the authority to put out fires and if he did he would have to start them again.
Because when my house is in fire I’m concerned how clean those hoses are. Without a clean hose they might as well be spraying dirt on my house. This is how to make a proper sandwich. Grab some bread, make sure it’s not moldy. Grab some cheese, then on the bread put cheese, meat, lettuce, tomato on it. Then grab another piece of bread and put it on top of the cheese, meat, lettuce, and tomato. Then put the sandwich to your mouth and chew it. Swallow when done chewing.
