I agree with you. And even with the brakes being so hard to get, I have no regrets with buying this bike. I’m coming up on 150 miles and it’s been great. I use it as an alternative means to work. I never ride it in the rain. Only when it’s nice. Very pleased with it so far. I have heard about people have problems with the screen or with this or that when they first get it. The only problem had was the front hydraulic brake needed to be bled. I think it’s a great bike and if people decide to replace the hydraulic brakes with something where the pads are easier to get, it’s a small price to pay for such an awesome bike with a huge community of support behind it

You can also swap out the brake system for one that supports brake pads with 1 pin the ridstar I have came with 1 pin brake pads

I have over a 1000 miles on my bike. The brake pads are almost gone. I've looked on amazon and ebay ,but nothing looks like my pads. My pads have 2 eyelets, I only see pads with 1 eyelet. I emailed ridstar and they were no help at all. If don't get some new pads soon this thing is junk.

Question - the front breaks do not work on my son's ridstar bike (which we just received 2 days ago). I emailed the manufacturer and they said it's a mechanical line break. Do we need to adjust this or hook it up (no directions on this) OR should we send back our back and get a new one? Thank you!

The power is wired to the LCD. The S866 display through Amazon has it integrated into the LCD. Ride safe.

what new braking system should I buy?

so would the new brake kit be open or closed circuit ?

There’s other pads that will fit, just have to look for shimano pads

Depending on how hard you are on your brakes, but I'm at 1500 miles and expect another 1000. But, I'm easy on my brakes, and when I know I'm coming to a stop, I will coast down in speed.

Search Ebay, "Ridstar Q20 brake pads" Because Ridstar is making people bid to buy brake pads, the prices can very a lot. So I don't want to give a link when there might be a better auction price.
