Was about to dissemble and buy the idler pulley arm and realized I was missing the spring to begin with lol

Hello. Hey im wonderin if you or someone else can help me with my lt1000 mower. The blades wont disengage but my engagement handle is down. (Like when you turn blades off). Ive taken the deck off removed the pulleys and parts. Cleaned the rust off , cleaned everything up, had a couple small divits in the flat plate, so afterwatching a video, i grinded those divits out. (It supposely worked on the video but not on mine. I greassed the washers and lubed everything up put it back together and the stupid blades still turn. Only way to stop the blades is to shut the mower off. ...

I am having the exact same problem right now. I bought a new Idler arm plate and the blades still do not disengage.

Guess.not.
