Just started playing this game because of these videos and it’s a really fun game. Lots of hidden caves and wrecks and under ground bunkers. And it’s only half done. The devs are doing a great job so far. Thanks Matt for introducing it.

As someone who followed along reasonably closely with the development of the original Subnautica (mostly by just playing it as each new update came out), I'm seeing a lot of similarities between the development path it took and the one that Planet Crafter seems to be on. I sincerely hope that these similarities will continue to bear out in the coming months, because I believe this game could be every bit as good as Subnautica with enough worldbuilding. And having the world dynamically change as you progress is a truly wonderful idea and its implementation so far is really good for something so early on in its development. I look forward to playing the full version when it comes out!

Despite being a convict, Matt seems like a decent enough guy. Something tells me he's actually innocent and the judge was an undercover architect 😮‍💨

Nah, he was found guilty of indecent graffiti, indecent construction, indecent design, indecent cultivation and being an engineer.

when asteroids spawn, the aim for an area generally around you (That's why multiple ended up hitting the warp gate once you were on the ground), the issue is when youre super high in the sky they they aim for areas around you but theyre way up in the sky, which means they then have a very long trip to the ground and are still flying at an angle so they tend to travel for miles and hit far away.

Thanks for the tips, I've been trying to get as many tips as possible before I start the game so I get a good start. So far, Real CIvil Engineer is the best at playing this game, even the staircase to heaven which, though is a waste of resources, is a cool bit of engineering.

You should deconstruct all the lower tier machines and replace them with the new ones.

yup i realized that very early in the game. have the lower tier does nothing compared to the upgraded tiers, so its best just to get back your supplies for them

2:47 Items that spawn in wrecked ships will disappear after 1 hour, or if you save then reload the game. So any seeds, rocket engines, etc that you see in a wreck you should pick up right away. Stuff in chests will stay there, so you could pick stuff up and put in a chest. (according to a game wiki I read)

I heard that too, but it doesn't happen for me. I went to the really big shipwreck and there were a bunch of seeds on shelves and stuff, but even when I went completely out of the game and back in (because I was trying to fix issues I was having with my controller) they still never disappeared... 🤔

I learned that if you build the uranium rocket (works best in my experience), jetpack into it (aiming for the top of the rocket), it has the potential to turn it into a pinwheel! Not sure how beneficial it is but very cool.

Hey Matt, the “pollen” sand waterfall in the Sulfur/ Osmium area has super alloy in it so you can collect like 20 from the giant sand fall.

Oh the T2 auto extractors such a grind and relief at the same time (spoiler) t1 has i think 20% to give the item displayed while t2 is 50 and has a large storage getting all the items from their respective spots. If its mining anything non iron then the only other products are biproducts silicon iron(if not chosen) titanium cobalt and magnesium are all biproducts. Keep it up Matt! Screw architechs and greetings from the home of Lego

I was finally able to get the demo of this game working! Some architect set the target FPS to Unlimited. Once I adjusted that down to 30, the game ran! While I do applaud your going all-in on eggplants, have you considered the mushrooms? They too are the strongest shape and give you a little more HP recovery (35 for mushroom, 30 for eggplant).

I'm hoping the devs add underground construction eventually like the ruins you find. That would really be fun to play with!

Sentinel Corp: "You can't leave this planet" They didn't lie Also, some thing you will find either with 1/1000000000 chance or if you know where to find: from the starting location, go to the narrow path (don't enter it) and search the base of the left cliff with a deconstruction tool on.

So there's somebody that started at my work a few days ago, and when I was working with him I immediately didn't like him because he's one of the dumbest people I've worked with in a long time. But then near the end of the shift that we had together I found out that he's in school to be an architect, and now it all makes sense. I finally understand why Matt dislikes these people so much.

Matt seems a lot more chill in this video... And I kinda like it ngl Hes just chillin and playing games like most of us And he STILL makes it entertaining Great videos RCE... Strongest shape for the strongest engineer 💪

A quick heads up, the asteroids always fall near you, so go to a place where it's relatively flat and with no mountains nearby do locate the uranium or iridium more easily

Close to water helps. Uranium and Iridium are easier to spot underwater.

There's an abandoned base somewhere, and that's where you'll find part of the storyline, I think it's pretty hard to find too, so yeah. It is somewhere near a tight gap in a wall

I love how he's low on iron as well. Seems funny how the resource that should be most abundant ends up the one you keep running out of.

Those Rockets are fun you can glitch two together if your quick enough and then they do really silly things xD

Agreed, this is the type of game where you sit down at like 10 pm to play for an hour and suddenly it's 3 am.

Usually I don't like Early Access games but I enjoyed your series so much, I bought the game.

If you're getting lost having trouble finding your base you should build a beacon. It will guide you back no matter where on the map you are.

My best "skewed rocket" attempt went right into the iridium cave.

If you go around the first iridium cave to the right and stay on the side you'll come across a set of columns on the left if you happen to go inside youll find supper alloy laying around.

Mabye you could build a sort of a space station of some sort? when you're high enough, place down a platform and build on it? I don't know how plausible this is but it'd surely be cool to see.

i have found a ¨glitch¨ to go infinity high! i found out you can unstuck by pressing f4, but if you spam it, you can fly! hope you can escape the planet now :-) also, you can press is just before you fall on the ground to get no fall damage (i know, you have a jetpack, but still)!

I made my 2nd base also at the "gates" and regret it when I opened all map. That place is basically in the corner!! It takes years to collect different resources and bring them back! :/

There is an exploit in this game that makes you fly, you just need to repetedly press f4 this works because f4 makes so that you unstuck by lifting you upwards. so the jetpack is basically worthless except for the increased movement speed and you also don't need stairs to your base.

There's an interesting little cave I found with a secret and a bunch of super alloys. Go to the sulfur area through the Iridium cave. Once you enter the sulfur area, go right along the wall. There should be a canyon that leads out to a ship. Don't go to the ship (do so in the future since it has lots of resources). Instead, go left along the wall. There should be a cave that has some columns eventually. Explore it and find something very interesting.

You really should build waypoint stations so you can refill O2 as you go long distances

This is my favorite series

If you launch a rocket and then quick build and launch another one you can get them stuck in each other. Did it with 2 of them, not sure how many you can do before the game breaks

Hey RCE, I reccomend playing a game called "astroneer" it would be very fun to see you play it, it is very similar to planet crafter and would love to see your approach to the game. :D

If you want to leave the planet, just spam the "unstuck" button (f4, I think). I set it to a side button on my mouse to use it easier

Matt!!!!! You can also push the rockets yourself by jusping toward the rocket with your jetpack. You can get some very funny stuff with it.

Perfect timing for me to watch on my lunch break. Time for food

Best game ever And the best engineer ever

I put living compartment by the wrecks and make sure to check the lockers I found a rocker engine in the dune wreck with some seeds. I also had a wreck on that shelf of the maze area. There was tons of super ore up there too

If you go left from your base when looking at your origional base theres something really cool with alot of valuable resources.

so in my mind you have been convicted of graffiti. Easy to come to that judging by how you shape everything.😁

Didn't noticed it while playing it myself, but kW/h as a unit doesn't make much sense ^^. Watt is already a unit to describe the rate of work (Joules per second).

In the cliff maze theirs a crashed ship and there's a lot of super alloy scattered around and you can find super alloy in structures I've also found something interesting in a new biome so keep exploring

The explosion powder looks like a chip bag yum

If there is too much load on an electrical grid the generators dip below their intended operating frequency and auto disconnect. It is correctly simulated.

You can get on top of the rocket without building the stairs, just do it from the button.... Also, I'm not sure you have found all 3 of the SuperAlloy locations yet :) Oh, and get 9 uranium, go to the T2 constructor thing, and you can make Uranium Rods! Same for Iridium!

He showed that you can't get on top of the rocket directly from the button. If you go to the second channel "Real Civil Engineer ARCHIVE" he posts all of his streams there, and you can see him craft both types of rods in the streams. He also found, or was directed to, a cave with super alloy near-ish to the crash to the, I want to refer to his original stair direction as North, so the North-West, past the iridium cave near the sulfur crater behind that. He's picked that pretty clean, as well as the area with the crash on the ledge with the supports all around, I don't think he's found the third yet.

@@chrisatkinson9621 You can jump on the rocket from the launch pad, I have done it myself - although I did have the T3 jetpack when I did it... And fair enough, answered the other questions :) - Just seemed like (in the video) he didn't know about the Uranium rods so I commented... Wasn't sure if he had found the 'smaller' Superalloy cave yet, I knew he had the ones around the ledges in the middle, and I know he's been to the area of the other but not sure if he's realised there's superalloy there yet...

That habitat has no miller piddles! 😱

Gotta say I've been playing since the pre-release, theres definitely more to do but I ran out quickly, my planet is basically completely terraformed, I just have to wait to unlock the last energy cell craftable so I can get end game
