Must have listened to this song over a thousand times while customizing cars in the garage before a race. There were several songs in the game but this is the only one that played in the garage. Pure nostalgia. The cycle went like this: get spanked, win some dough, hop back into the garage, get a bigger turbo, intake and NOS with snoop and the doors banging in the background. Teenlife don't get any better than that.

actually no , it's a very good cover , ray manzarek liked it , john voice isn't altered at all and the original feel it's still there . It even adds another level of feelings with the added scream from morisson at the end . Stop being butthurt , It's one of the most respectful covers of legendary songs .

I'm a massive Doors fan. I own all their albums on vinyl. If you hate this JUST because of the rap- you're fucking sad. Music is beautiful; no one owns it. Snoop brought his own touch to it and CLEARLY is a Doors fan himself because of the various lesser known Doors samples in this song. I think Jim would dig the shit out of this. You cannot say you think this sucks if you just hate rap. Give it a chance man. It's fucking trippy and soulful the whole way through.

+rugged Koch; lol, bullshit. Same chordprogression, same tempo, same time signature, same instruments except for the percussion. The only difference is a different drumpattern and sample and rap in between. You definitely can compare.

rugged Koch Open your mind lol :) If you don't like it that's fine- thankfully your opinion isn't the benchmark for anything relevant. It's faithfully to the atmosphere of the original but Snoop brings something different- it's cool. It's also opened the track up to loads of kids who would never have otherwise heard The Doors. Appreciate that at least.
