Directed by Anders Thomas Jensen, Riders of Justice follows recently-deployed Markus, who is forced to return home to his care for his teenage daughter after his wife is killed in a tragic train accident.
But when a survivor of the wrecked train surfaces claiming foul play, Markus begins to suspect his wife was murdered and embarks on a mission to find those responsible.
Mads Mikkelsen, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Andrea Heick Gadeberg, Lars Brygmann, Nicolas Bro, Gustav Lindh and Roland Møller star.
Magnet Releasing will open the film in NY & LA Theaters on May 14, 2021. It will be available everywhere May 21, 2021.

The trailer might lead you to believe it's just another revenge flick, but it's a really unique dark comedy filled with hilariously bizarre moments. Really worth checking out.

It's in no way an "unique" dark comedy. It's what the director is known for. In China They Eat Dogs, Flickering Lights, Old Men In New Cars, The Green Butchers, Adam's Apples, The Sun King, Clash of Egos... And many more... Also often using these nothing-endings.

Has a terrible event ever affected your life and you couldn't help buy ask, "Why me?" Has a single event ever changed your life forever, and you couldn't help but wonder at all the things that caused that event? This movie asks those questions without ever actually stating the questions. Action, comic relief, and deep, heartfelt drama. This movie is a masterpiece, and quite simply, one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.

The man is an incredible actor and a very kind and humble person. Met him years back when he was working on Hannibal here in Toronto. He's the kind of actor that always elevates any film he's in.

Hannibal is one of my favorite shows. Unfortunately, it got cancelled.

@Rikke Stellini it’s not the first Anders Thomas Jensen movie he has done. The one that’s most like this one is “Flickering Lights”. But he is only type cast in Hollywood as a villain, in Danish movies he plays everything. It’s definitely worth checking out the movies he has done with Thomas Vinterberg as well

One of the best movies I've seen in many years. The cast and acting is just sublime. Gripping, moving, entertaining and funny all in one. Well worth a watch, don't miss it!
Just loved this movie, the scene where he breakdowns is just plain amazing. The guy is a gem of an actor
Someone is definitely going to make an English remake of this down the line.

This movie was so phenomenally excellent. Poignant psychotic funny with all the right shades of drama, trauma, phantasmagorical PTSD humor galore. Bazinga!

Mads is such an underrated actor. He never disappoints.
This is one of the best acting in movies I’ve ever seen. Emmenthaler’s character is absolutely brilliant.
"Have you killed someone before? It certainly didn't look like it was your first time." That killed me!

This movie is amazing. Saw it around 6 months ago in the Danish cinema. You will like it! Edit: by the way, it is not an action movie, it is a comedy, with some action elements in it.

Mads has an incredible presence on screen. In the beinning of "another round" he plays a nondescript loser, then he step by step takes over the screen. Not many people can do that.
We need more non hollywood movies like this...

Mads is such a fantastic talent. Also, that beard is legendary!
"We're just gonna talk to him". That never ends well in these types of situations...
Best way to describe this film is to say it's not what you expect. It's not comedy... not a thriller.. not action.. not drama.. but is jnstead a unique style that touches on all of these things without becoming them. I'd actually say the film is about emotional healing if anything.

Weirdly enough this trailer is actually quite bad. It is made with international viewers in mind and is portrayed as an action movie, but it is much more a dark comedy. If you know the director and the cast he typically uses, you would immediately recognize that is one of the famous Danish dark comedies, but if you don't you might get the wrong impression.
Absolutely badass movie! Great intensity, great humor, amazing entertainment
Just watched this and it was AMAZING!!! funny, sad, twisted and as always Mads is soooo badass love him and the entire cast ♥
The plot is quite improbable but damn the action (violence!), the twist, the introspection, the empathy and the comedy involved is riveting. A must-see!
This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. A perfect mix of action, humor and human relationships.

Watched it for the first time today. Awesome flick. Trailer leads you to believe that its a revenge film but it actually delves into PTSD, depression, trauma all whilst adding quirky humour. Loved it. Mads just gets sexier with age
