I worked at an Am-Law 100 law firm in Dallas, and a couple of the other paralegals and I found a room like this with a basketball Pop-A-Shot arcade game in there. The room was abandoned, and was kind of in a nook where people wouldn't naturally walk past it. Every single day for a year, from 2:45pm-3:00pm we would meet down there for a Pop-A-Shot tournament. This film feels exactly like that.

I really connected with your story. Way back in college, my university forgot to budget for the landscaping on a new residence hall. So, our residents director came with up a plan to "make up the difference" with a student crew (versus expensive pros) for the regularly scheduled Summer dorm paint/refresh - I was selected as a 'foreman'. It was hard and hot work as, no students in the halls, then no high aircon bills either. By the end of the second week, we had organically instituted a "Water Break Bowling Tournament" consisting of masking paper rolls as the pins and densely packed used tape 'bowling balls'. Our long hallway "lanes" were twice the length of traditional alley with natural bumpers (floor molding) and gutters (door entries). One time, a cleaning lady magically appeared out of a room and didn't make it quite to the end stairwell before a bowl hit her ankle - she never complained - just limped the rest of the way without looking back. 😂 The next building had a 4-story glass breezeway where one day, while waiting for everyone to get back from lunch, one crew member turned over a few empty 5 gallon plastic buckets (bongos) where we had the most amazing pre-STOMP exhibition for all the janitors and resident assistants. One of the best jobs I ever had and didn't pay anything really.

This is the story of a man named Stanley. Stanley worked for a company in a big building where he was Employee #427. Employee #427's job was simple: he sat at his desk in Room 427 and he pushed buttons on a keyboard. Orders came to him through a monitor on his desk telling him what buttons to push, how long to push them, and in what order. This is what Employee #427 did every day of every month of every year, and although others may have considered it soul rending, Stanley relished every moment that the orders came in, as though he had been made exactly for this job. And Stanley was happy.

Технически это было невозможно сделать, но авторы не стали акцентировать внимание на этом аспекте. А в остальном, кроме этой маленькой детали, в общем и целом, фильм достоин восторженных похвал.

God, people complain about this all the time... there are a crazy amount of original indie movies that come out every year. Covid slowed some shit down, but this "it's just sequels and superhero movies!" bullshit is just wrong.
Jon Hamm deserves to be in more movies.

This looks awesome, I love me some Hamm, can't wait!
At the 3/4 climactic scene, he finds that a character played by John Malkovich is pulling the strings of the whole endeavor. And also, Robert DeNiro has a cameo reprising his role as Harry Tuttle from Brazil. It's gonna hit all the right notes for fans of dystopian office-based dark comedy.

A smile disarms your opponent, and makes them doubt their own enmity - probably Dwight
I couldnt see him being corperate but i could definitely see him as............ Assistant to the Regional Manager;)
Looks like the world is healing and we're back to making good films for a change.
Love what danny pudi is doing
If I have a nickel for every time Jon Hamm took a role that revolved around him in a beautiful and spacious mid-century office I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it is a weird coincidence

I'm not sure you have any clue what the word coincidence means. Maybe Hamm just has a look that fits that athestic? That would be the exact opposite of a coincidence.

I kinda want to watch this looks intriguing
Huh, this actually looks really great. Will definitely be supporting this, we need more original movies!
Jon Hamm is really multitalented actor
Good to see Jon Hamm back in an office

Great trailer and the casting couldn't get any more perfect. Especially the lead role Chef's kiss.

Simon Fraser University (filming location) always did inspire true terror going to class.
I like a lot of these office settings in TV and Movies lately. This, Severance, and even Air was mostly set in an office most the film.
Really appreciate Jon Hamm's interesting and varied project choices. He could have gone for boring Dirk Squarejaw kind of roles but is so much more interesting than that. Can't wait to see this film.
This "1984 meets office space" corporate dystopia genre that's cropping up with this and Severance. I'm here for it.
Almost didn’t recognize Hamm, his acting has always impressed me. Solid trailer.
im a simple man, i see Jon Hamm working in an office i click it
That's one intriguing trailer. Can't wait.
Very original! No correlations or copy paste from Severance I can see...Bravo! 👏
Yo that’s Abed from community, love it
Dangit! The first half had me thinking this was Milton's origin story from Office Space..
This is 100% a dramatic parralel universe version of The Office. John Hamm is Michael Scott and so on. This secret room is like the room Michael finds to party in
