In 1991 i was teaching at a summer school in Boston, and one of my students introduced me to RIDE. One of the great bands and songs of the early 90s.

i met a beautiful girl at a club when this song was playing, she and i are married with 3 daughters now, what a wonderful RIDE pun intended, awesome band and awesome song

I heartily second that. I know as each decade of life passes, we're supposed to change and mature but when I watch this video, I can't help missing that Friday evening feeling of getting ready to go out...feeling like EVERYTHING was possible.

Depends on where you lived. Keep in mind it's pre Internet so you are at the mercy of what's local. That said I didn't get into Ride until 2010ish. Back in the early 90s it was mainly Metal, Pop, or Hip Hop State side. Yeah, this would have been awesome to see back then. I did catch them live when they toured their "Best Of" album. Sounded the same as the CDs so no complaints there.😉👍✨

Legends. It's hilarious that I posted the below post 4 years ago and I'm returning 4 years later after 3 red ales this evening. I normally don't drink, but whatever. I saw RIDE with Lush back in 1991 in Cleveland, and I finally saw RIDE again 2 months ago in Detroit in 2023. AMAZING! I hope to see them again sometime. One of the greats!

Mark Gardener IS LITERALLY SO FINE. The 1992 15 year old in me is STILL SHOOK.

I don't think I will ever get tired of listening to the drums on this song. Why this guy wasn't ever listed anywhere as one of the best drummers of the 90s is beyond me.

Was minding my own business catching up on the Lush back catalogue and then I clicked on this random suggestion. Holy crap ! Jangle heaven. How come I missed this and them first time round ?? Every now and again you come across a perfect example of the genre, and this ladies and gentlemen is the winner for early 90’s indie. I rest my case

My love for Ride goes way back. This has always been one of my favorites. With ease one of the best songs ever recorded.

still love Ride and this song has some deep nostalgia attached. Loz has always been one of my favourite drummers.

It’s been said that the creation records scene in the late 80s early 90s was like a recreation of the 60s. This video in some way portrays that I think.

preparing for A'levels in Spring 1992 and still had all my grandparents. Nearly 30 years ago!!

Finally I know! Twisterella is the best pop song ever and it is all because of the bass. Brilliant. Bass based twee pop greatness.

I want to be 14 again back in 1992 in a time capsule listening to this and messing about at school being a numpty and doing homework badly in other lessons under the desk in such a way that I didn't understand either the homework or the content of the other lessons and so ended up a total and utter cretin and failure in life, that is where it all started, my non-descript life, and I would love to go back in time for a whole day and experience the simple joys I experienced back then, wonderful days, the 1990s were cool.

How does this not have a couple million hits?

The last band I saw before the covid lockdowns kicked in. The 9.30 Club in DC. Going to see them again in my home town Wolverhampton later this year. Absolutely glorious Ride are.
