Shoegazer 93 - exactly!! Couldn’t have said it better myself. Even after all these years. It just gets better and better. It’s mind blowing how amazingly good they are.

i could listen to 8 hours of 'leave them all behind' or 'seagul'..thanks.

Total flashback to 1993. To be 16 again. Damn life was simple back then!!!!!

Ride are the first band I saw live. Portsmouth guildhall on this tour. Listening to it now I realise what a privilege it was. Love Ride for life. Mercury Rev too. Car Wash Hair 🙂

Yep first gig too seeing them on this tour at Poole Arts Centre. Christ where did the time go?

I can't believe only 3,554 people have watched this? This is the greatest band of all time. Great live concert video.

Still can't over how these guys did not blow up worldwide. Literally unknown in North America outside of a small blip in '92. OX4 is such a great tune.

They create amazing soundscapes but their choruses aren't that memorable. They sound like verses IMO.

this band is my all time fave brit band. the mixtures was perfect... harmonized vocal and noise guitar, monotonic bass and complexity of the drums... surely the BEST!, thanks for sharing

I’ve just come down from my trip and read this 👌🏻class

One of the best bands ever live. I got to see them with Lush opening up on their first tour and then again on the Leave Them All Behind tour. The way that they played in sync with each other was amazing. Highly underrated band.

Fabulous, an all round top drawer gig. Video is Ace. Brilliant bandmanship and they fed off the raw energy of the crowd.All in all an epic, legendary gig that only comes once in a lifetime.

My last comment here was a year ago saying, come back for a tour please! And a few months later it was announced that they were indeed going to do a tour in 2015. Now I'm looking at this still tingling from the gig I saw at London Roundhouse 2 days ago. chuffed!!!!

This remains one of the greatest gigs I’ve ever been to (a very young and spacey Verve supporting didn’t exactly hurt either)…Still have the VHS of this somewhere…

I was there....great night and the night i fell in love with the original Mercury Rev line -up who were the support.

The flow and setlist just perfect. Almost mistake free performance. One for the Ages.

The live rendition of Vapour Trail here is almost more hypnotic than the album version

musicians who actually know WHEN use a wah-wah are musicians I respect.

Damn, this is the first live set I've seen by them. They are even more dynamic live. Love this band. I grew up listening to 90's rock but never knew about them till I was much older.

The melodic power is hard to believe. RIDE are British Indie giants for damn good reason 👍

I saw them open for Lush in 1991 in Cleveland Ohio, they were totally awesome...I got thrown out during Lush though...Kickass show! Ride is the best.

I was there. The hype around Ride was so big at the time in London. They had a signing the day before this show at Tower Records I believe it was, with fans waiting hours upon hours to get inside. What a time it was. What a band!

just been announced. You can buy this on on DVD, finally, when you buy the 20 year re-release coming in May 2012.

I was 15 on this tour....I saw them at City Gardens in New Jersey on June 17 1992....it changed me forever......i became a musician.....and abandoned most of my Hardcore music collection.....and became what my friends jokingly referred to ad hippie trash.....even though this is what i was into....at the time the term shoegaze hadnt caught on really yet.....but we all knew this was different and really special!

Someone mentioned Swervedriver earlier... Hell yeah. Ejector Seat Reservation is one of the best songs ever written. I want it played at my funeral.

Saw Ride last weekend at Glasgow & Manchester - truly magnificent. I was 13 when I bought this on VHS!

Been a long time since I listened to Ride. I was at this gig and I never understood the whole 'shoegazer' thing. Ride and My Bloody Valentine to me had more in common with Sonic Youth but with melodies. For me though Ride did not improve with age, the first time I saw them at Manchester Boardwalk they blew me away with the sheer noise and freshness of what they were doing, but that kind of dissipated sadly. Funnily enough I see Loz quite regularly these days, lovely bloke.

Saw them at Glasgow Barrowland on this tour. Possibly the only truly great band of “the scene that celebrates itself” as they used to say. Superb.

Andy's playing on that one is so fluid, too.

The reason these guys didn't blow up in 1992 is that they had competition. Imagine that within that year, of all the new bands, you could choose to go and see: Ride, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, TAD, Melvins, Love Battery, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, Gruntruck, Swervedriver, Kyuss, Yawning Man, Lush... Musical eras like that don't come around very often.

THE most underrated and absolutely best band of the 90s.

Unforgotten in 2022.

Stunning.... How can sound make you feel so alive... You just drown into the music!

Saw them on this tour at Portsmouth Guildhall - brilliant. Love all their albums including Tarantula! The shoegaze revival is here (well certainly for men in their early 40s anyway!). Slowdive also touring and the new Swervedriver LP is great.

They were at the top of their game on this tour. Saw them in New York and still remember it 25 years later. Incredible.

I haven't watched this for years, saw them around this time (Going Blank Again tour) down here in Australia too, funny to see Mark without the chrome dome and Andy without the baseball cap again, Steve and Lol haven't changed a bit....

Drummer is a Picasso of sound!

Timeless.

Saw them in Belfast and to this day I have never heard a wall of sound quite like it (Apart from My Bloody Valentine)
