    As a massive boxing fan from the north of England, where Ricky is from I would like to say thanks to you Jay, coming from the country of the great Manny Pacquiao it means a lot! Both of these great boxers came from the working classes and have never forgotten their roots! I love them both, Ricky being amongst the very best in his weight class although I have to say if forced too, that Manny had the edge. This is no insult to Ricky because Manny is one of the best pound for pound fighters of all time!

    billy trained him. in the right style that worked for Hatton, hes a gritty brawler type of fighter. Mayweather trained him to be pretty which just didn't work for him.

    don rump it truly didn’t matter if he stayed with him or not, Mayweather was always on another level than all his opponents and truly is the history of his boxing because of his ring iq. He was an expert in and out of the ring and he knew exactly how to read an opponent on the fly and take away their strengths. He would have taken away Hatton’s strengths no matter what like he did with every other boxer in his career.

    as an Aussie I remember thinking that Kostya Tszyu should have retired before the Ricky fight and when I sat at the pub to watch the fight it was with a heavy heart, total respect for Ricky as a boxer and a person.

    Hatton never backed down from a toe to toe battle...but Manny and Floyd was on a different level...floyd was so talented he knew every shot he threw and what shot would be coming back..very smart fighter off all time

    Thanks for the special memories Ricky 😊 getting up early hours in morning watching those American fights and ITV/Sky fights were some of my favourite memories 👍 That Left to the body to this day is one of the best punches in boxing 😂 he was throwing the same shot in the Amateurs at 10 😂

    I read somewhere the other day someone say, “don’t let what you’re good at define you. You got so much more to offer this world than just what you’re good at.” Very true cause it’s so easy to be gassed up by yourself and others because of what you’re good at and then when that fails the fall is hard.

    I’ll never ever forget all his fights I went to, the crowd was electric we all truly loved him. A real people’s champ like Duran! Definitely One of 🇬🇧 best boxers.

    Really wish the best to Ricky...Not many people really give their all toward something, for fear of failure or being judged etc etc. This dude wasn't the most talented boxer, but he worked his heart out and achieved so much. I hope he can enjoy his life now. He has zero to be ashamed of. He should only be proud.

    I'm from Philippines but Ricky hattons style is a freaking ravage bull.... you gotta be scared of hatton when his nearly on hug moment because your midsection should be ready for punishment and u need to air up your lungs if you cannot your lights out....     Met him in Dublin in 2009 in a bar absolutely pissed out of his head whilst he was out for the night with Jon Bon Jovi.................Even though he was obviously troubled he was an absolute gentleman and it's so pleasing that he's recovered, superb all round guy.................His story so mirrors Tyson Fury........

    Manny and Floyd are two legends. They’re in a class of their own. No one has even came close to their greatness in terms of the peak they reached during their primes and their longevity. No else has done what they did since they started dominating since the late 90s except maybe Canelo? Although I think Canelo is still a step below.

    Ricky is a down to earth guy that was a very good boxer who unfortunately was in an era that produced probably the best boxer ever Manny... he was afraid of no one and is a nice guy and should be very proud to have won his titles he is a great example for this country and the world and to boxing.
