I am an Asian from Russia, and I have been a fan of Manny and Freddie since 2003, they are very humble and respectful, they never swore at each other like most boxers and coaches, the boxing world is so boring without them, I miss the times when I followed them, starting from adolescence to 31 years, time has flown by very quickly and it sucks

Tell me about it. I grew up watching boxing in the 70s. I ha5lte to say any era was greater than any other. But his current generations of boxers runs the gamut from the best and fiercest I'll ever see intermingled with all the Instagram models. Stop typing and strat fighting. Nobody worth the salt in my semen gives a fuck about your 0. Just fight.

Freddy is a guines and a great strategist. Boxing is all he knows from amateur to professional boxer himself and now a trainer. A great strategist for avoiding opponents at their best time. Freddy is the greatest at choosing his opponents at their worst time possible. Sounds crazy however I got the receipts. Try it.

@@ernestocarrillo7 nah you are probably talking about Mayweather, Pacquaio and Freddie did not choose their opponent they always fought the best fighter regardless if they were underdogs even if the chance was low they would take the fight, it was Mayweather who waited for Pacquaio to age before fighting, have you see mayweather do that? nah

Freddie Roach is a living legend. In so many ways. His story is so humble and he arrived to become simply one of the greatest trainers in history, alongside Angelo Dundee. Maybe THE best. There is something about Freddie's CARE for his fighters yet also his ability to almost BE a second brain to these great fighters... how on earth. Such a stupendously good tactician and his analysis of boxing is like no-one else. He turn Amir Khan (for example) into a champion when he probably didn't deserve to be one. Khan Maidana... such a great fight. He protected his fighters with his pure boxing intelligence and intuition and he MADE CHAMPIONS.

"I’d rather have Manny Pacquiao’s LEGACY than Floyd Mayweather’s. Manny fought everybody," said Bernard Hopkins. “Well I think I like Pacquiao The BEST Out Of ALL Of Them personally myself. I like him because he's been more CONSISTENT than All of the other fighters," said Pernell Whitaker. "Pacquaio is a good fighter The GREATEST Of All Time," said Larry Holmes. "Manny Pacquiao is More Sensational Fighter than Floyd Mayweather Jr. Masterful boxing, like Willie Pep, it was brilliant," said Mike Tyson. ''Manny Pacquiao is The BEST Fighter in the world. Usually a good big man will always beat a good little man, but Pacquiao is a GREAT Little Man," said Marco Antonio Barrera. "Pacquiao had a GREATER Career than Mayweather. Pacquiao is The BEST I've faced," said Erik Morales. "No matter who he fights, he's like a perpetual motion...he's like a tazmanian devil," said Sugar Ray Leonard. "Manny Pacquiao is one of the GREATEST fighters ever," said Miguel Cotto. "Manny Pacquiao is a BETTER fighter than I thought he was. That little dude has some BALLS," said Roger Mayweather. "He's not a dirty fighter...he's TOUGH! That's a Promoter's dream...to have that kind of fighter," said Lennox Lewis. "He has a case for the greatest fighter pound-for-pound who ever lived", said Max Kellerman. "He's the pound for pound champion. He earned it from a hard way. He didn't ducked any body, he got it all", said Emmanuel Steward. "This guy stands with the greats and the great pantheon of boxing, in any decades, in any era, Manny Pacquiao stands tall", said Mario Lopez. "We thought Manny Pacquiao was great. He's better than we thought". /// "He's a combination of Ali, Elvis and Bruce Lee. He just got bigger", said Larry Merchant. "The 50'th win of Pacquiao now legendary career", said Jim Lampley.

I’m also from New England right next door to Mass. I moved though. But I’m glad to have a legend like Freddie from our neck of the woods.

Manny and Freddie were great together they made history and made boxing exciting again in those times. The Philippines have zero crime when this duo comes up into the boxing ring. Thats a fact coz everyone will be fixated on the boxing event. Kudos to Freddie, he has a very amiable personality in his later years. 👍🏼👍🏼 for the guy

I remember when Freddy own the Outlaw boxing club on Hollywood and Highland (The old bank building on the northeast corner). In 1992-93. I was 12 years old and Freddy allowed me to train for free. Freddy closed the gym. I ended up going to La Brea Boxing Academy to train with the great Almicar Bruza. Couple years later i started training at the Wild Card. By then i was a little older and decided i wanted to do something else. Which i am glad i opted for my current career. I remember Pepper, he used to call me "primo." He was really cool to me.

Freddie's rags-to-riches story thru hard work and sheer persistence and dedication at a craft he excels (training boxers, not boxing itself as a career) is stuff of legends and great inspiration and should be made a movie. His meeting and detecting generational pugilist like Pacquiao was a stroke of inspired genius--even destiny! Pac and Freddie were a partnership made in boxing heaven. They both made an incomparable brand for each other. And both were Cinderella stories of emulation-worthy virtues, and inspiration that had an almost divine element to it!
