Ricky Gervais became "famous" when he was 40 so he already lived his life, like the rest of us for 4 decades, it's why he's so grounded.

Roasting people isn't popping bubbles. He slates award shows then sits in front of his awards to criticise them. That's just two-faced. He's made a pretty penny by stabbing people in the back....oh I see now why people like him! They see themselves reflected in him. Still selling shows to Netflix though isn't he!

I agree 100%. In Depp’s eyes and it’s an opinion that is shared by millions… there’s nothing more emotionally damaging than to be slandered and ridiculed by false accusations from someone who is motivated by nothing more than pure spite and vindictiveness. Depp is having his moment to show the world who jumped to their own conclusions when Turd first attempted to depict herself as a victim, that she in fact is the guilty one. And the cost to Depp is reveal the most intimate private details of his life. Something that most “celebrities” are loath to do.

It’s not a soap opera or a reality show that needs the utmost dignity and respect. I know that it’s more normal in America as judges holds elections and campaigns for a seat. Making them a part of the government. They are not where I’m living. They are a co-equal branch, independent from politics of a given discourse in society.

Well they realize who bought them their entire lifestyle. so they’re like the only ones humble enough aside from Michael Jackson and Keanu to show appreciation. Not very many celebrity try to appease their fans in public than those few it seems. You go up to a celeb you’re libel to get told “no not now, no I’m not signing anything” yet Johnny, Keanu and Ricky would probably be the type to be more than happy to have a conversation if there’s not a big crowd of ppl surrounding them asking for autographs and if tha does happen they’d probably try to sign as many as possible. These 3 celebs have absolute class when it comes to appreciation. I freakin love them. I think gina Carano is probably the same way too. Seems like she’s all smiles.

Imagine having the opportunity to interview someone like Ricky, and having this video and sound quality, and asking these questions. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm surprised that Ricky Gervais didn't even hint at being slightly pro Johnny Depp. They seem like good friends on talk shows and he was in 'Life's Too Short'. He did the sensible thing I suppose.

Agree JD is not to be underestimated he researched this thoroughly before hand and new even if he loses he would win public opinion. A wise man once said unless court cases are televised they will never be non corrupt - the public watch dog keeps the $&@$&@% honest PS This headline should be ‘Ricky doesn’t comment on Johnny Depp’ #Love this guy such a loyal strong non Hollywood type
