The Ricky Gervais Show on HBO is just the tip of the iceberg. You can then go and listen to all 6 series of the podcast (with extras) that the animated show is based on. If you still can't get enough, you can listen to the XFM shows the trio started at. There's many, many, MANY hours of that. If you want more of Karl, don't forget to also check out An Idiot Abroad, The Moaning of Life, and Sick of It.

Greetings from your number one fan in Finland... I was introduced first to Ron and Fez while working in Minnesota 10 years ago. Then I found chip.

It's amazing though, Carlin was a very conceptual comedian, and he just did it so well that it never feels phoney... Love Gervais & Jim n' Sam!

at least in Portugal the finger is not used anymore, because, as explained by a doctor, the finger only feels one side of the prostate. Today they use 2 things in conjunction: blood exam asking for a parameter called PSA and a transrectal doppler sonography, that can see the whole prostate. Run away from any doctor that does only the finger, cause you may have prostate cancer and think you are ok.

I don't understand why Sam feels the need to add something after every good laughter. I have friends like that, and they don't know how to continue the funny bits, so they just explain it in a different, yet still the same way, because they don't have that talent. So, instead of staying silent or laugh, they just get in on it and kill it, because they have no self awareness. And you have to be cool about it too, because if you say something bad about it, you're going to fuck up their mood and the whole thing dies. Is he still learning? I don't mean to be a dick, but he doesn't have it.

Abraham He does not belong on a show at this level. He wormed his way in by kissing ass. He exploited the actual talented ppl breaking up. He’s such a parasite. I have a feeling that he could’ve just as easily been Opie’s sidekick, taking passive aggressive shots at Jim. (Not saying I don’t think Opie is a douche). He doesn’t get by on talent. It’s strategically opportunistic sucking up.

Like, fuck you, if there is a single onion in my food...... No, that'd be too 'aggressive' to someone who is bringing me my food... Sam Roberts is to Jim Norton as Brian Redban was to Joe Rogan. He’s a producer who is trying to be a comedian and participate in the discussion, but he’s not clever or funny enough to pull it off. Thus every interview is clunky and filled with instances of him stepping all over a good conversation that Jim is having with a guest, constantly interrupting and ruining the flow, and in some cases simply repeating what the guest just said. As a co-host he offers nothing to the show, and it would be better if he talked less and focused more on the production.

Another Ricky spot where they talk about the 'mechanics of comedy' - excellent. Not.

Not sure how Ricky got so much mileage out of The Office in showbiz. To me the radioshow was the real gem. Good on him though. (any Ricky haters check out the interview he had with Garry Shandling he was the one guy in show business that didn't buy the Ricky shtick and challenged him openly as a human being just for the sheer joy of cringe)

Dear Ricky and Jim: AIDS jokes have been beat to death. Please find something else to joke about. AIDS hasn’t been relevant since the 90s. It’s not even a death sentence anymore. It’d be like still joking about OJ, David Koresch, Nancy Kerrigan etc...then again Ricky still makes Hitler jokes. Im not offended by them, just sick of them. It’s become hack. It’s not edgy anymore.

I hate jimmy’s gestures

I know Ricky’s laughing at how annoyed he gets, but that’s not normal to be so irritated by other people. He’s like a Nazi dictator repulsed by any signs of weakness and other people not living up to his impossible standards. I’m sure the three of you are so so perfect. People aren’t perfect. Would love ricky to have a sudden urge to have diarrhoea on a live talk show, so he can hate himself for his bodily functions which react outside his control. How insecure must you be to check a twitter troll’s twitter profile and think you’ve won by judging them? So what if a troll was really popular and good looking? Would that make his/her opinion more valid? How sad. I think Karl Pilkington was right about Ricky - people see the laughter and smiles but don’t have to put up with his controlling, irritable ways which sound verging on needing therapy for.

It sounds like he has misophonia. Trust me, we don't want to have this reaction to certain sounds. We'd give anything to be able to tune it all out like 99% of the population. But our brains just process them as threats causing a fight or flight reflex. Would you call an autistic person fascist for having a tantrum in response to sensory overload at the supermarket? Only difference is that most people with misophonia - especially adults - have a lot more self-awareness and control than an autistic person. So we usually suffer in silence or isolate ourselves. Because we know how defensive people get even when we politely ask for people to make our lives easier.
