What happened to Ricky, Karl and Steve?

This show has validated so many feelings of grief that I’ve been struggling with after the death my of husband due to cancer, and becoming a young widow myself. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for bringing a person’s journey through grief to the world in the most raw and real way. The stigma attached with grief is awful and I hope more people over time gain compassion and become less uncomfortable with grief because the hard truth is we will all go through it if we haven’t already at some point in our lives. And though this show is at the end of the day just a show and not real, watching it makes me feel like I’m not alone in my feelings.

Afterlife got me through the death of my mum. Thank you Ricky and cast

Ricky Gervais is an incredibly funny man, but this show made me cry every episode. And in the most unexpected moments. I do not weep easily. This show just pulls at the heartstrings, then yanks them out and throws them over a cliff.

It’s all the same cast from Derek that stars in afterlife, so nice to see them altogether, it’s like a family that act together x

A lot of the time you often see Joe Wilkinson in that weird character he does on the panel shows, which is brilliant, but it's great seeing him out of that persona and just being himself

I love how Kerry is a typical lady, can't just do one thing it's boring, gotta be multi-tasking LOL I am the same 😂

I think the same about Roisin. I can't stand her as a comedian/TV personality, but her acting is on point.

I liked the "Is After Life a true story" question. We binged both seasons in 2 nights the other day and halfway thru the second season I did google if it was based on his life. He was acting so well I thought this can't be made up, he's getting this emotion from somewhere. I've never paid his acting much attention, I thought he could only do one character, but fuck me he proved me wrong. One of the best shows for ages. I identified with Tony so much I was in tears most of it. Thanks Ricky!!!

Have you seen "Extras?" It's funnier than both "Derek" and "After Life." But be warned: the ending is extremely touching.

Great a acting and great characters. I loved 'afterlife' happy, sad and sick, my 3 favourite feelings. And it's refreshing to watch a series over 2 days, rather than it drag on and get repetitive like some other series that I've seen, the first few seasons are good and then I think fuck this shit and fast forward to the last episode to see what happens in the end.

*Dene* is what you call a wooded valley next to a small river. There's a few *Dene's* in my city, the most well known if which is spelt incorrectly on *Google Maps, TripAdvisor* and worst of all the *GetOutside* website which is run by *Ordnance Survey.* That's the second location in my city now, which I've noticed has been spelt incorrectly by *Ordnance Survey* the official national mapping agency for Great Britain.
