When he played for Rangers as I was sat in the stand cheering on the Arabs he was one of those players we feared the most as he was a warrier. No time for rivalries. Rest in piece Fernando. You didn't deserve this. I hope all fans of rival clubs will echoe similar sentiments.

Really nice to see a send off that's fit for Fernando . I still remember that night six years ago, when he came up to the centre circle in Ibrox and applauded us supporters. Then the following day his diagnosis was made public! Such a selfless man, even when his health was failing him, he still did what he could, to further the cure for MND cause. To think this man was only 1 year older than me and that cruel disease took him. Its so unbelievably sad and a humbling reminder to us all to cherish our time as it is so precious. I've been a Gers fan my whole life and I've always loved the banter between the Old Firm and detested the hate that comes with it. It has been very touching to see the utmost respect shown by fans of our rivals across the city. We are all football fans and without each other our teams are less. Farewell Fernando.

I also would like to say that out of respect for Ricksen's wife Viktoria and her daughter Isabella, this was a beautiful service. I hope by God that she can manage the dark, llonely, scarry and lost priode of time if there comes along a period of silence. I thought Viktoria looked so fragile, small, full of sadness....I will pray for her and Isabella
