I found Rick in the early 70’s and he has been my inspiration ever since. Master of all things musical and keyboard.

My wife, before we were actually married, asked me "if you could do something . . . " and I said play like Rick Wakeman. She went and bought me a Roland keyboard. I was terrible - all thumbs. But changing waveforms was fun!! Goes without saying that he is phenomenal.

Absolutely LOVE that album...with a good set of Sennheiser headphones and 3/4 volume you can watch GOD appear b4 your eyes, but alas, it's just a grumpy old man....LOL

I remember buying Rick's album " Criminal Record " when it was first released back in 1977. Side A Chris Squire and Alan White on all 3 tracks. I believe this album was being recorded at the time of the "Going for the One " sessions in Switzerland. Thank you for sharing this treasure piece of music.

"O Fantasma da Ópera" de Andrew Lloyd Weber é de 1986. Rick compôs essa música em 1977. Antes do Rick, Pink Floyd já tinha usado a mesma frase em Echoes, em 1971. Nada se cria, tudo se copia!

Rick es aprendis de bach. Copia redy.. Tranforma algo. Pero bach es maestro.

I saw RW last October and what a huge disappointment that was. He only had a grand piano, and only played two of his songs. The rest was the Beatles, David Bowie, Cat Stevens and some other shit. Always check the setlist before you go see a show, folks, because you never know what crap is coming your way.

To be honest, I love Rick Wakeman and always will...but I'm tired listening him playing those songs too, he have composed so many beautiful pieces for piano and he always plays that set list..

@@ROLT On my way out of the show I saw Wakeman's manager and told him what you said, he's done so much music but played none of it, I just wasted $60. He looked at me and had nothing to say. Unbelievable.
