"One sound for each keyboards" approach vs "One keyboard many sounds" favored by modern keyboardists reared in post 90s era where professional keyboards has many good patches already. Even in the mid 90s we had GM2 sounds on most MIDI keyboards, with at least 256 patches! On the other hand, Sir Wakeman was reared in the era where you'd play a piano to get piano sound, a Hammond to get organ sound, a Rhodes to get jazz piano sound, a Mellotron to get synth pad sound, a Moog to get synth lead sound, and so on..
