Brian Bachelder your right, the future of what the elite are planning are told through television, music, movies. But most cannot see this happening. We are moving toward a one world order and people seem to love their servitude. I hope they all wake up to see that our minds are the hardest prison to escape. Those in power think we are to weak to make our own decisions. Why do you think the gap between the rich and poor is so wide in 2017? They want complete control of your lives and people are unwillingly giving them to those that control us without a fight.

My favorite Rick Springfield song. In the video, he asks Sally what year it is. She responds that it's 2016 (33 years after the song was released). The lyrics are even more meaningful in 2022. (Edited)

I wonder what Rick thinks of life in 2023,40 years after this song??? And, can we talk about how prophetic the lyrics are? And how now everyone has a computer in their hand more powerful than the first Mac? Or IBM original PC? That phone in your hand right now, as you watch videos in the bathroom by yourself is more powerful than anything dreamt of in 1983. Where most homes didn't even have 1 computer.

“Everybody’s talking to computers…” This song seems prophetic. Remember when it came out? People actually talked face-to-face to each other back then. Studies have shown that even though people are connected electronically in the digital age, people feel more alienated than ever. It seems we do need the human touch, maybe more than ever. Remember when men and women connected in person rather than fishing through endless profiles on online dating sites? Remember when people had real friends instead of Facebook friends? I sometimes long for those days. Does anyone else?

To George varughese - I don't mean to spoil the dream - but if you're from the U.K., these were the Thatcher Years! So the times were great for music, but with Unemployment and hospital closures thrown in! Those times WERE good - if you kept "blinkers" on ( you know those shields they put over horses eyes in traffic, so they only see FORWARDS, and aren't scared by traffic to either side).

It's funny...I saw this video only ONCE when I was a little kid at the skating rink. Never saw it again until this very moment in 2016.
I knew they 80's would be dearly missed when I was young. That's why I soaked it up as much as possible. They still call me 80's boy.
Giggling that back in the 80's we really thought 2016 would look so much different.
Ugh. I grew up listening to 80s music with my mom. I'm 21 now and I still love it. I'm such an 80s junkie. Thanks mom.
Who knew Springfield was a prophet. This was written 30 something years before the 6ft apart social distancing covid rules. This should be the entire globes coming out of lockdown theme song 🤗
A true experiment that proves this song is telling the truth, awhile back in some European country, I think it was Romania, they had a group of babies that were never touched and nurtured and another group that were constantly hugged, talked to, and sang to, the babies that were ignored grew up dysfunctional and out of touch with society, and the babies that were constantly hugged, loved, and talked to grew up normal, loving, compassionate adults, it all makes sense.
I'm so scared and isolated in the modern world. . . .It's like he knew.
Found this gem from GTA Vice City Stories
This song should be played on every radio station today - hopefully people will get the message

What I love about 80s music videos and movies that are linked to Time Travel or what the future looks like is when it comes to the dates that are in the videos themselves that have arrived and gone and you look at how they thought the world would look like at that time
Rick Springfield: Futurist. Apple should have named her “Sally”.
I was 14 when this came out .loved it! Before mobile phones....internet..almost like he knew the storm that was coming. We managed before these things where there was more human connection...sadly that really is not the case so much now.
80's music videos when MTV only played them were the bomb back then. Time for MTV to return to this format. I want my MTV!!!!
Scary how this song is more relevant today than it was when it came out nearly 40 years ago.
Was a teen when this came out (my lanta, what a dreamboat he was!) bought the album. Remember it being a very "new" sound for Rick compared to his earlier stuff. But I hadn't listened to it in all these years since... but the lyrics were running through my head today in August of 2021... how fitting! As a society, we're so connected that we're disconnected...
We all still need that HUMAN TOUCH in 2019!
