Rick absolutely loves Morty, the problem is that he's so bad at showing it that Morty already resigned himself to the fact he's replaceable.

I think the reason rick didn't jump was because bases in what morty says, he thinks that he couldn't overcome his greatest fear, thats why he put morty's photo in the wall, because morty did something that maybe he couldn't do

As someone who struggles to show affection the fact that Rick has a photo of Morty in his wallet hit me hard. Sometimes we really want to show love but we don't really know how without a fear of getting hurt, so it comes down to the little details like that photo.

​@@qeewzd i think he meant when rick put the photo of morty up the bulletin board, since he technically let go of diane by not chasing her in the hole. There were lights flickering the moment he resisted.

The fact the hole made this whole complicated alternated reality just to scare Morty proves how smarter Morty has grown over the years

My favorite moment of the season has to be Rick putting Morty's photo on the board. Glad you included it!

Part of me does expect Rick Prime to come back in Season 8. I mean there was what appears to be a clone of him when they portal out of the box and when Rick shuts down the sub-basement, the clone is gone. But, with this show, I've learnt that I can never predict what will happen.

Other than the first episode and maybe the Numbericons one, all the eps were great.

I think this is my favourite morty episode next to episode's one and three in the season 5 honestly I am looking forward to seeing if or how much this changes morty interactions with Rick going forward now that he has conquered that he has conquered his fear of relying on Rick I think that might be what has separated evil Morty from the main Morty so far maybe Now morty might not go down the evil path but he will definitely be able to be more confident within himself and maybe we can even see Rick and Morty working together like evil Morty and Rick in the episode where they both fight Rick I do hope at some point we get to see a proper flashback to Rick's relationship with Diane before her before her and Beth died and i agree with your analysis the photo in ricks wallet it shows rick does care for morty but we all knew that already 😀

Great reaction! About the voice actors, Rick is mostly on point, but Morty is really iffy when he does anything other than normal speech.

man i hated this season at first just beacause of the voice actors a rick sounding different. i've totally gotten used to it now. but besides that season 7 is the most creative season BY FAR. episode 5 and 10 are in my top 5, maybe even top 3, rick and morty episodes ever. what a great season.
