As someone who has special interests in animation, music, and video games and has IRL friends who don't share similar interests as I do, that quote hits close to home. I'm honestly upset that quotes like that aren't present in shows that I watched in the 90s and 2000s. They're all nothing but mindless entertainment with monotonously ridiculous humour. It's important that shows like Amphibia include subject matter that reflect the reality that people face. That their friends don't have the same interests as they do.

The letter Leif wrote to Andrias tells me that they were more than just friends I think they loved each other Andrias blushes and looked away during Leifs dance, the secret messages to each other, Andrias the frist to rush to Leif after she fell to her hands and knees after the vission, the worried look on his face, Leif crying into Andrias, Andrias the one that took her betrayl the hardest and his blushing tears in his eyes and scraming her name when she left, and Leif dubbing her self as "your Leif" and her calling him my derest Andrias and saying I wish my love will reach you. Also in the painting Andrias and Leif are looking at eachother and there is a art that Matt Braly did Andrias Berral and Leif are back together and they are on his sholders and Andrias and Leif are looking at eachother. There was and still is something more than just friendship between Andrias and Leif.

I'm pretty sure that when it comes to the family tree what you're missing is that Lief is an ancestor from a thousand years ago, and the stuff from the family tree episode are all ancestor from no where near that far back so of course Lief and her family wouldn't have been shown As for Emma the Newt that is just a parallel between her and Anne the human to show Anne that just cause someone wasn't a frog didn't mean they couldn't be a Planter, the fact that they looked similar was just an animation decision to really sell the point across to the audience especially the younger audience, that was the only reason, it was animation shenanigans and not something to seriously look at deeply

This episode was so overwhelmingly awesome that it's hard to even pick out the most amazing moments among the ones like the conclusion of Anne's character arc (well, almost), or Sasha's acceptance that she can be a good person despite all she had done, or the Plantars standoff agains the herons, or Marcy saying "no" to Aldrich, or Andrias finally trying to make amends and be in peace with himself, or...ok, even that list is long enough! And speaking about Andrias, he definitely saw some parallels between Leif and Marcy but that unfortunately also worked against the human girl in S2 finale. The king could not allow the history to repeat itself so when Marcy opened the portal he tried to stop her by any means necessary. Overall, this episode could have been an amazing grand finale for the entire series but we still have one more...

A phenomenal start to what is a perfect finale. Anne vs. Andrias Sasha & Grime vs. Darcy The Plantars vs. The Herons This episode truly is just nonstop for the entire 48 minutes, and next week is no different. Brace for tears, lots of tears. Also, the song used in this episode is "As If It's Your Last" by BLACKPINK, it's a BOP.

Only one more and it's aptly titled. The Plantar/Leif hunting dance returning is epic. Marcy:"Right! Boundaries Marcy....I bet I can fit in your pocket!" Olivia:(Visibly sweating)"WHAT!???" Oof, Sasha and Grime's moment is so much. They changed so much from who they started out as and I still see Grime as a father figure to Sasha(whose parents are divorced, if the Christmas Episode is any indicator). I wish we didn't have to wait a week, but you'll need it!

Leaf was their related family member a thousand years ago. They would have to make a REALLY BIG family tree to show her or any of these frogs, that would be too many generations to show. Especially considering we don't know their lifespan. That's probably why you can't see her there, or the show runners hadn't estabilished her as a full character yet, just an idea.

I love this show but Darcy had so much missed potential. She only had 10 minutes of screen time in the entire show and the majority of that comes from this episode. There’s so much more they could’ve done with her

Oh man! Only one episode left. As always, great reaction! Just when you though it couldn't get more intense than True Colors. The show definitely isn't shy of violence. Stabbing someone in the heart from the back? Now someone losing an entire arm! Grimes surely fooled us there! 😱

If you go back to the episode when Grimes was introduced, his cape is covering the arm that he eventually lost, in a very similar way how it looks now. Dunno if it was a clever foreshadowing, or something that they thought afterwards.

We're really in it now. Finale incoming as do plenty of tears. So close... It's surprising to see some of the missing details, but I think Alycia said back in season 1 that the show didn't really know what it wanted to be yet, so maybe this is a case of that carrying over into season 3, kind of catching up with them. That being said, things coming full circle with Leaf and the Plantars really is satisfying. I'm so excited for the finale and I can't believe we're here!

Calamity Anne vs Mecha Andrias and Sasha vs Darcy were both phenomenal fights. I remember all the theories that Anne would lose her arm and Sasha would lose her eye but the only one to lose a body part was Grime lol
